Did you replace the condenser? Never saw that mentioned. They can do weird things.

I a familiar with this issue, however it is not the main circuit being puled over it it the idle circuit siphoning, not mixing.
But the OP has indicated that this same problem exist with 2 totally different carbs.
Every combination hitch I have ever seen will work with the MS ring. But, yo should avoid using that kind of hitch, it has far to much slop. You should use a full pintle style hitch. Even then, the small hitches are sloppy, but much stronger than the ball combination.
Impossible to help with that information. It all depends on which line, there are 3 sizes of hydraulic lines on the M54 and then the air lines for the brake system.
The manuals call for the 2 hole injector on the LDS-465-1 (This engine originally came with 1 hole.) not the 1A, according to Continental, the 1A should have the 1 hole injector. At higher power outputs, this is less likely to burn pistons, allows for more fuel burning longer and cools the bowl...
Within the limitations of what the little truck was designed to do, it is a VERY capable off road vehicle. Unless you are into some extreme off roading there is no need for the lockers.
