I agree on the contaminated brake shoe, shims and springs are a post assembly effort.
On the clutch handle. with the dog clutch fully back into the housing does the handle properly align with the detent ball?
Does the handle align with the engaged position when the dog clutch is fully engaged or...
Well a couple of thoughts.
First, the drag brake, sounds like the spring is weak, shims work, but I would only recommend 1/4" at first placed into the bottom of the brake pin. (Actually the post that holds the spring.) YOu should be able to applu sufficient pressure to prevent the drum from...
Lumberjack2, welcome to the site from one of the grumpy old guys.
You should consider it as a requirement that you come the Georgia Rally, a great place to learn the truck and meet good people.
Secure and read the -10 for that truck.
You will need the approprate drivers liscense for that truck...
You are gonna need more. Might consider a small version. At any rate add me to the list for the other 2 and now you will have to bring more........
Is it time yet.?.?.?.
This sure seem DMV like. FWIW they do not list "Diamond T" either, so I went through this with Squirt. Just patience and persistence and a good T22B and a kind DMV operator....
IF it ain't right we should not do it. That is how we give our hobby a bad name.
Linkage first.
The governor spring system in the pump is very touchy. When they start getting soft the idle will change, increase, during breaking, or pointing down hill. Conversely, they will idle slower in a nose high position. This is not really a problem as long as the idle returns to...
The vent tab was a design concept that allowed compression pressure to escape, if the fire ring fails, and not destroy the remainder of the gasket. The vent made a chirp noise if the ring had failed.
I am not sure if the new designed gaskets have this feature. All I have ever used had this.
If the driven gear is missing it will not be obvious, the shaft is only roughly 1/4" but if not there it leaves a 1/4" hole. If the adapter is missing the hole is roughly 1" and really bad.
Reach up to the attachment point, if you can get a finger into the opening then no adapter. Use a small...
Be sure that the driven gear is still in the case. If it is there the seal should keep most oil inside, if the gear or worse if the adapter is not still in the case you have a BIG leak path.
An M-37 over 45 is scary. Even with good stock brakes. They are rated 55 but they scream for mercy at that speed.
Little-Truck likes 40 MPH and even gets some sense of fuel mileage at that speed.
You can change the gears, but where is the additional power going to come from? They struggle...
Ron, I did not mean that you had done it, but that you were a victim of it.
Seems like we had that discussion and you were as baffeled as to what had been done as any of us, but you figured it out.
So if anyone misunderstood, I apologize.
Yes the engine will operate on natural gas and diesel. Yes AND diesel. The compression ignition of the diesel fuel is required to ignite the gas. Bottom line is that the pump has to be modified to defuel down to roughly 10% when the gas comes on line. Throttling is via control of gas admitted...
Sorry guys, the 5-ton case for both the M-39 and 800 series is spring loaded to neutral. The towing and recovery manual also refers to this, if the front wheels are towed off the ground release the air to prevent engagement of the front axle. If your transfer does NOT go to neutral with the...
Patracy, Any feedback or thoughts on when we will be able to use "enter or return" to drop to another line? Tried all the compatibilities none of the work. Thoughts? An YES thank you for the good work..
