Haven't decided if I'm going to use the LS-454 it's supposed to go with yet or not but I am going to mount an LS-671 via the AM1780 with a CX-13292 cable to the upper windshield on the right side at the middle with rivnuts for sure.
Finally got around to starting my radio and vic-1 systems install. Thanks to JuanPrado got the taller bottom tray to fit the vic tray properly. Was putting off the installation to get the tach wired up. Didn't want to have to pull everything apart twice. RT524 and R442, Am1780 and command box...
I haven't checked my spindle nuts yet, but have new washers and 4 newer style nuts to replace once I start. What spindle nut socket fits these 8 notch nuts? I'm guessing a normal 4 notch socket will work but don't even know which one will fit them either. Suggestions where to purchase and which...
That sure sounds like generator failing, You might want to check the voltage coming out, I believe they are adjustable. I've never been that position myself so I can't help much. That's great it's not fried! AFAIK there are issues when upgrading generators. I can't think of what needs to be...
Excellent. Knew air was the issue here Don't forget to remove any clear line you installed while troubleshooting soon, from what my auto parts place said, not so sure it's resistant to diesel. Great feeling isn't it?
mogger7 this might help. It's a little confusing because in the first picture he has a red wire on the bus bar and then it's suddenly brown where it connects to the dash https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?153495-hmmwv-tachometer-installation&highlight=Tachometer
You'll get it narrowed down. If you are getting airs after bypassing the filter and having a clear line seeing them at the bypass, then it's somewhere in between the filter and where the line draws from the tank. Keep it up, you'll find it.
Just got to your local Tractor Supply if you have one, I used grade 8 bolts and nuts for everything I add to the Humvee from Tractor Supply mainly. By the pound prices beat any hardware store or the actual gov bolts.
So no matter what with the 4720 and 4721 cable setup, there's no way to power radio B independently without A being on. I will have the Am1780 powered by the MT-1029 with a CX-4723 cable at J501, Does this also require radio A to be on to power the Am1780 or is always live, so I could use the...
Hi guys: I'm installing an RT524A and R442, I know radio A (524) has to have the link in the 1029 mount in the direct setting, and radio B(442) normally has the mount 1898 link in the remote setting requiring Radio A to be on to use radio B. My question is can I put the link on the radio B...
I have my own issues with GovPlanet, mostly because I failed to inspect my truck thoroughly in the dead of winter when I had it delivered to me with numerous things not noted on the auction. But if anyone can help you it's the rep on this site for govplanet. I was having trouble proving to my...
Next step I'd take if you still are getting air, is remove the line into the filter and out of the filter and connect them with a piece of clear tubing between them to rule out the filter canister all together and it would indicate the air is coming somewhere before the filter. And back track...
They are not 12 volt glow plugs and if they are they're the wrong ones. CUCV uses 12 Volt, HMMWV uses 24V. 4x4guy, make sure you get the self regulating type equivalent of AC Delco 15G.
Set of 8 glow plugs for the HMMWV 6.2L and 6.5L engines. P/N AC15G, 5614017, military part 12338771...
