I've never had any battery last me more than 3-3 1/2 years. I just changed out two Excides 24's from my 003a that I put in back in 2012, I replaced them with 2 group 65 Titan Batts ( Low end Excides ) that I bought from Home Depot for $89ea and I bet they will last me just as long/short as the...
My god that dear man is still around, he was old back when I bought my NOS complete front and rear axles for my M-37 from him back in 1997. He is a super nice person and was very deaf back then too, and he talks very very fast heck we spent most of the phone conversation yelling "What" back and...
I drove my water purification body deuce (HEAVY) from Virginia to So.Fla (990 miles) and got 10mpg going 52mph (2350rpms) which seems to be the sweet spot for these trucks on the highway.
The one I remember seeing was a jeep or 3/4ton and it was pretty cool how it was done with a combination of snatchblocks and double pulleys.
Infact the video was posted over on the M-37 sited ( a few years ago )
Crap!
I put some under my outboard cowl this past November being chipmonks found they're way into it ( still haven't figured how ) last season and chewed up part of the wire harness, now I'm afraid to go out and look.
Just found another nest inside the door of the cyl heads airbox which is a p.i.t.a. to get to with a ASK. I filled a container with mothballs and laid it in the bottom of the frame to see if that helps discourage future nests.
Yeah IF I was pulling the tow bars max rated weight of 39- 42K lbs , than yes keep it fully retracted ( as per manual ) but thats not going to happen with me, fully extended it has 14k lb weight limit ( as per manual )
Correct answer is YES it will work
My factory collared insert show up yesterday. All the holes on both collared and non collared inserts are the same length/distance apart. The only problem is when you have the bar in the fully retracted/nested position it won't line up with the first hole, it...
It was Gov surplus that I bought from a long gone mil paint surplus vender ( killed himself )
As mentioned it was single part carc ( B ) and even though it had half the VOC's of normal carc it was still horrible stuff to work with. The 686 is what US military used in desert storm, its a copy of...
I shot my Lightweight with single part tan carc ( 686B ) along with hardener and it stayed flat.
I'm told it can't get glossier if there no gloss to begin with.
OK
I'll start with some measurements of my older non collared insert. overall length is 44 3/4", OD of the tube is 2 1/4". Its 9 11/16" from the end of the ears to the center of the first hole ( see pic ). So if the newer (factory) collared insert have these same measurements than I would think...
Thanks guys
I'm (now) thinking new insert(s).....why take a chance.
Got the Florida FFC rally coming up this March maybe I can score a deal on some there.
Again, thanks to all for their input
I took a chance a couple of years ago and bought a damaged med duty tow bar w/ 3/4" feet for $150 including delivery. I am finally getting around to try fixing them, as you can see in pic the ears are bent out far enough that the pin won't go through., I'm thinking that they'll need to have...
