I got a 5ton kit from boyce about a year ago. They had the only the outside parts for the kit. The inside parts, reg, valve and fittings i already had. The 5ton multi snorkle isn't the same. You can get everything you need except the snorkle brackets for a M35 kit at GRAINGER. Even the air...
If you use your truck in the woods, they are very handy! I even find myself grabbing a shovel off of one of the MV's instead of walking all the way to the shed. I got the picks and axes at the local mom and pop hardware store. I already had shovels. I got the straps from saturn.
I could be wrong, But i'm pretty sure you will have to get another one. Try taking a meter and see if your getting power to it. I don't know what one costs but it shouldn't be too hard to find one.
I think you may have burn't up the voltage regulator. The big box near the firewall. The cable from the generator plugs into it. But first i would put a meter on the batteries. You might have ruined the secondary battery and shorted it also. But then again it might be more simple than that...
I would think a blown turbo seal wouldn't produce enough oil in the air stream to support a runaway. It might idle on it but not run away. I've overhauled alot of these turbo's many with blown seals. But no complaints of engine run away. There just isn't enough oil in a "C or D" turbo to keep it...
I had a crack show up in the bonnet housing. The square can that replaced the original airfilter. It split from the rear stud that holds it to the intake manafold to the bug pipe plug at the rear. Giving the engine a sound like you describe. it was hard to see but leaked pretty good.
I thought i read on the last page that you pushed it to 60MPH? Are you infact driving it that hard? Slow down to 45 MPH or 50MPH and i bet you will see a hugh difference in blowby. It's hard for any engine to run wide open for very long with out complaining one way or another.
If you look in a lod post of mine called before and after you will see my stock snorkle. I don't know how to link it to this post. Could somebody do that?
That's way too much oil! Are you driving it hard enough for it to get the turbo hot? It's not going to seal if your driving it too easy. It has to heat up and expand to seal. You also need to tighten or replace your outlet coupling. Your loosing boost air. If oil can get out so can the air. If...
I unstalled a squeese bulb for a outboard motor on mine. that way filling the filter is alot easier and less messy. Just open the bleeder and squeese it a few thime and it's full. Alot easier on the starter too when you have to work on the fuel system. Bleeding out the air is a snap.
If your smoking black then you need more air. Both in and out. Get you some metric all thread cut two pieces a little longer that the original intake to air clearer studs. Swap them out and turn tha air cleaner lid upside down. It will get all the air it wants. The engine roar will get...
My 197 has 6 lug wheels and 9.00-20's. I use it to move the 127 with the M35. But it's a little light for that when the trailor is loaded. I'd love to have a 198 instead.
In stock form there is a 6 inch difference in height for the 127. The kingpin sits at 49 1/2 inches for the deck to be level. The fithwheel is 55 1/2 inches unloaded. It is a little too short with the landing gear all the way down. So to couple them together you have to use the brakes or block...
There is more than one way to turn the DB2's fuel rate. But going through the window on the drivers side of the pump is the easiest. IMHO. And yes do it when the engine is cold. Otherwise your fingers will not be happy. Just remove the cover on the drivers side of the pump. It looks like home...
I was sopposed to get this number for some guys who PM's me. But i dropped the ball and forgot about it. The hose i found that works is a GATES #26528.
It's 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 x 25" long. This hose works but it difficult to install. I had to remove the generator to make the bend onto the water...
