How about transmission oil???? It has been common practice on gas engines, after head gasket replacement to fill the crankcase with trans oil as it absorbs water better than engine oil and run it for a couple miles then bring it back and change the oil while it's hot. One of those old tricks.
Yeah that's what I was told it fits, and the tag I took to be correct. It seems to me I measured it prior to selling the truck and found that it would only fit the M35 and the older 5 ton trucks. Which was a bummer for me cause my 5 ton needs a new hard top. I had a parts depot quote me $800...
Looks like your coming along nicely with the truck. That sucks about the tank, I hope the new one didn't set you back too much. The in tank fuel pump flange was sealed with the grey rtv so you'll find it harder to remove but it seals a lot better than the old paper gasket that was originally on it.
This thread has lots about them and a couple of manufacturers for them. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?104204-4-quot-Ram-Air-Scoop-for-deuce
I put one made from a SS member on my M35 and can't remember who made it.
Looks great man, is that .50 a demill, semi-auto, or class 3? I have a 1919 .30 demilled that I've been kicking around making some sort of removable mount for it. I'm fixing to buy a boost guage and am trying to decide on a 35psi or60 psi guage. How much boost does your truck put out and have...
Nice job man! Removing those batteries in the cab are a pain! I also relocated mine, I relocated them to the front tool box though being I had only 2 battieries. Now you just need a battery disconnect switch on the side.
Do ya'll know the max boost out of the 8.3L with just turning up the pump? I'm buying a pyro and boost guage and trying to decide 35psi or 60psi guage.
Thanks!
Our auctions have 17% buyers premium less a 5% cash or check discount (12%) and then add NC sales tax at 6.75%. I have seen others that had higher buyers premiums than that around here. We had around 210 folks sign up for bidders numbers this weekend, meaning 400-500 attended.
Here your $100...
Use a ratchet strap around the beadlock to put it in a oval shape then all it takes is 2 big pry bars to get it out. I did it with no soldier B, vehicles, or heavy equipment, now putting them back in is the harder part till you really get it down pat.
I've having the same issue and I found that the primer pump is sucking air. No fuel leaks otherwise but when you pump it, it leaks a little fuel. So that's what I'm thinking is happening.
Seems like she said it got around 18 mpg for a average down and back. There is a 15-20 mile stretch on hwy 64 that we ran 70-72 mph :driver:!! Speed limit is 70 from Creswell to Edenton where we got off, and she still had some more throttle left. Indicated on the speedometer was only 62-65.
Hey guys we had a great time at the beach I aired down to 25 front and 18rear the first day and it did so well that the next day I just went down to 25 all around. Went every where I asked it too no problems or straining at all I even pulled a fully loaded F250 the had a 4x4 problem at the...
