So if it starts good, runs good, gets good fuel mileage, has a good amount of power with the new pump, injectors, and turbo, then why are you worried about the lope? Besides you said it is almost gone if you set the RPM correctly at 650!?!
The lope is ok, mine does it too! Its is funny because everyone thinks it has tons of horsepower. A diesel that lopes usually has a lot of power, look at youtube in the search box type in loping diesel!
My fuel filter base started to leaking the other day, and it is making it hard to start. Have to bleed it now to start everytime. I LOVE THE INTERNET! After countless hours of searching I have found the O-rings and there GM part numbers, so here they are:
Stanadyne model 80:

As for parts it is pretty simple:
New flex plate (the 700r4 uses a smaller torque convertor) $65
New torque convertor 1200 to 1600 stall (1200 is the best, I have used both a 1600 and 1200) $350
New front seal on trans, trans is out my as well do it kinda like an insurance policy $10
TV...
I have done several of these for customers, and I did one of my m1008's, I burnt up the one in my truck so the spare I had for the other m1008 I have went into my truck. A rebuild is usually about 300 for parts and labor, but I will be doing some upgrades since it is out and will be torn down...
I have done several of these swaps, here is the 700r4 / np205 swap I did for a customer http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?73275-Friend-s-truck-conversion-from-turbo-400-NP208-too-a-700r4-NP205&highlight=
Also check voltage with a test meter, should be around 12-13 volts if more than that then one or more of them are starting to fail. If it reads 24 volts most likely all have failed, assuming your still going through resistor on firewall.
PATC 1200 stall torque convertors is also what I use for all my customers 700r4 builds, been a great company to work with and never have had any problems with there products!!!!!
I have a stock used 700r4 transmission that I put into mine about 2 years ago, haven't had any issues. All my customers cucv trucks that I have done have stock 700r4's without any issues! If you do the swap yourself probably can get it done for less than $700, I charge between $1200-$1500 to...
To prove to everyone that says it can't be done that it can! That these engines where actual designed to be a heavy duty powerfull workhorse, yes I am a cummins guy all the way but its still very cool that these engines are capable of producing decent horsepower to somewhat keep up with the...
I'm going with the bosch #80034's ordering them through rock auto for $7.67 a plug plus shipping. I have been using the wellman's from a guy on ebay, say's there the best in the industry with a one year warrenty. Most of them don't make it 3 months and he gives me an earfull about honoring...
Nice clean setup! I'm also in the works.......hopefully to do the 6.5 turbo on mine! As for other turbo mod's I have never seen one with a blower, maybe one from a 8v53 might work. I did see a home made twin turbo setup on ebay a couple of months ago, can't remember how much he wanted or...

As for the 6.2........well lets me start first with I have been die hard cummins guy for 20 years now, and most everyone I talk to bad mouth's the 6.2, having said that I started doing my own research about 6 months ago becuase I haven't been able to get any straight answers. After countless...
