They are different will only remove first nut not the second one, needs to have four prongs for the first nut and four notches for the second. at least from the pics that I looked at napa's didn't have the four notches for the second nut, and all the other web sites were the same as napa's.
you could replace the only part you haven't yet...........the spindles, I have seen them for 150-200 for the pair, but if the tube is bent then you just wasted another 200 dollars. Just a thought.
because the car company's don't want you too get good fuel mileage! My neighbors 57 pontiac gets better fuel mileage than my 2003 pontiac, pretty sad. he has the original 389 in it with a 2 barrel carb, no electronics no emissions, its a wonderful car too work on. I have a friend with a 95...
Speedometer Gear, Speedometer Gears, Ford, GM, Dodge 700R4
Here is a web site for the speedo gears.
Could be you have a different speedometer, most were 1000 rotations per mile, but some were slower or faster.
I have a transfer case, PM me if interested. I see you have one that is being rebuilt so you might not be interested.
There is a drive shaft shop near me he rebuilt mine for $150, that was just for the tube and welding the yokes back on, add a new yoke about another $100-200, depending on...
33x12.5x16 is as big as you can go, might have a minor fender rub every once in awhile. Mine only rub when I am turning and hit a bump. 12.5 inch's is as wide as you can go on an 8 inch rim any wider and the tire could peel off the rim. I have seen a lot of guys on here running 37's with only...
Got the transmission and transfer case installed, just waiting for the shifter to be modified and the front drive shaft too be shortened and the rear too be made longer and make the rear into a shaft slip instead of a transfer case slip.
Yup 700r4's can be built to handle up too 1200 HP, the company I buy all my 700r4 parts from has a 1200 HP 1/2 ton pickup running low 10's for the last year and they haven't broke a single part.
The 700r4 low first gear more than makes up for the NP205's lack of a low range gear like the...
Ya a piece of rectangle stock 1"x 1 1/2" that is about 4 inch's long worked perfectly, not tight but not too loose. I bought a 1 inch drill bit so the pintle hook pin could slide through and hold it in place. Should have bought a 1 1/32 inch drill bit but too late now.
NP205 has a port for adding a PTO, he wants too install his pto winch, can't do that with the NP208, plus it is a lot stronger than the NP208, I can't count how many times I have stretched or broke a chain on an NP208. I have never broken an NP205, I have however seen others brake an NP205 but...
