you can do up too a 4 inch lift without extending brake lines. use 3/4 ton springs on front that will give you a small lift in the front, about an inch, 1 ton springs will add 2 inches too the front.
"ATSG" Thats what all the dealer mechanics use and most generic vehicle shops. I get mine from ebay, can also get them from a parts store or your chevy dealer parts department.
Also the 1 ton springs are 3 inches wide all others are 2.5 inches, but I do believe they will work on any chevy due too the spring perches all being the same width, except for the 1 ton rear springs being longer but you could always relocate the rear spring perch.
All blazers, suburbans, 1/2 ton trucks and most 3/4 ton trucks came with 52 inch springs, so measure them, but they should bolt right up, some 3/4 tons and all 1 tons came with 56 inch springs.
I started too add 2 cycle because my dodge cummins I had a couple of years ago the pump fried due to no lubricant in the fuel, once the truck was fixed I started too add 2 cycle, I sold the truck 2 years after pump was fixed, now that I have a diesel again I put 8 ounces of 2 cycle in every...
2 cycle oil is the best overall for two reasons, first it was meant too be burned in the engine, second it supposed too be a lubricant for engine components.
just finished mine, trans was free, spent 300 on torque converter, 60 on flex plate, 100 on tq lockup kit, 25 on bracket and tv rod, 16 on tv cable and 200 on transfer case w/adapter total=686. I'm getting 20-21 with an average speed of 55-60, at 55 i'm at 1900 rpm's, 70 is 2500 rpm's.
If you want too sell it pm me. As for me they are the heavy k series truck that chevy made! You can't beat the gm 14 bolt with a detroit locker and a dana 60 up front. There simple and cheap to repair. NO ELECTRONICS PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look at buying a used vehicle that was only 5-10...
Gas is very dangerous, I drive a 70 ton tanker full of fuel everyday to deliver to gas stations, and I can tell people till I blue in the face how dangerous it is and they still don't get it. here is my point- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufcQd1qoDAs
Update: just had a freeze plug on the head start to leak so had too take intake back off remove the freeze plug, went too auto store and got a new one but don't have time too install tonight. Its the little tiny one on the head 7/16 of an inch, a pain to get out.
ARP Head Studs 130-4062. No I used felt/steel head gaskets, they have a better seal and a small ring around each cylinder for turbo applications so the gasket won't blow out. I used Fel-Pro FMC-260-1315. Not sure on the miles, the truck has 74,000 on it but the motor had fresh paint and a...
Ok got it got together today. Took a lot of cranking to reprime but once it did fire right up! Mikev to answer your question, no I don't think the head gasket blew, some of the head bolts felt very easy to loosen so I think some of them stretched causing the head to lift of the block.
Also got...
First pic is my turbo 400 second and third is the 700r4 then my np208 that I got of a turbo 350 that will bolt right up too the 700r4. My new flex plate and torque converter are on the way, the TC is a 1600 stall lockup. I also have a auto TC lockup switch coming too!
