    I finally got my Deuce!

Are those 1100 Michelins? I have been wanting to try a set! I like your truck, that sand color shows every stain and running rust spot. Glen

Reverse Backup Camera on a Deuce

We put one on the Puma M26 at the local PD. It is great! A four inch screen. Those thick windows and right hand steering make that a very unusual rig to drive. Glen

    Deuce manufacturer

My 71 is a General Products Division. It is a nice driving, solid old deuce. I fell lucky to have it, just wish I had old smoky's engine in it. 8)

So I had this crazy idea, how about this for an engine for my A3...

I do not recall any manual shift 500s... is the crank drilled for a pilot bearing? Gues you could have it cut in. I would think a bell housing might be a little odd too. Just some open thinking. Glen

5 ton tubular grill on a deuce

I just sent a couple of the older flat iron grills to Deuceman51 for a 5 ton application. He wanted to replace the tubular grills with the older stronger flat iron grills. Which brings me to ask why you want the tubular grill....look better? Just curious. Glen

I put 250 miles of back road Kansas Driving on the deuce today!

We have to drain them before crushing them. He does not want to risk running the unknown fuel in his road fleet or in his crushing equipment, cannot say that I blame him. If my deuce slugs a filter, I carry two primaries and two secondaries all the time, no big deal. Most of his guys would call...

    Any pneumatic impact wrench recommendations?

If they used a big truck stop or tire shop impact wrench to run the nuts on, my 1/2 Snap On will just beat the corners of the nuts round. It is not enough ooomph. For that I have a 42" 1" breaker bar.

I put 250 miles of back road Kansas Driving on the deuce today!

Put another 200 on Tuesday, went to Riley for a preview, then to the antique car museum and finally took the dogs out to run. Having a few scrap five tons to steal fuel out of helps a lot! Glen

    Any pneumatic impact wrench recommendations?

I have been running a 1/2" drive Snap On that I bought in a Pawn Shop several years ago. I also picked up a 3/8" Snap On impact and two 3/8" ratchets, a 1/4" Snappy impact and a 1/4" ratchet. That 1/4" stuff is incredibly handy, I use it way more than I ever dreamed I would. The 3/8" impact is...

    Thanksgiving Deuce on the Loose

As I drove mine to work this morning I was wishing we were on the way to the Lake of the Ozarks. My extended family is in Laurie, about 350 miles. It would have been great! Thanks for sharing! Glen

Deuce-less again...it's this time of the year

My 68 deuce is pretty rough and has some rust. I plan to driver her all winter. The 71 will get a break when they treat the roadways. Glen

    Moving a 5ton gasser

I am not sure, but width, height, weight, length, it dwarfs my deuce. They were using it to winch out a bunch of small cottonwood trees. His grandson was operating the truck, to speed things up, he backed up to tighten the cable. No winch needed, the old turd would pull them out in low reverse...

    Moving a 5ton gasser

When we drove this one home, it did not make three mpg on the road and we never broke 35 mph.

    Moving a 5ton gasser

That would be ten hours, not four....

    Moving a 5ton gasser

Good one Gimpy, I think I would do the deuce tow, probably save on fuel and it is going to be slow either way. How old are the five ton's tires? If they are about down and out, you are not going to want more that 30-35 anyway. I take we are talking a five ton cargo or tractor and not a wrecker.....

Bobber Springs for an A3 vs A2

Has anybody used 5 ton front springs on a deuce bobber? I have been thinking about bobbing one of mine and we have a load of 5 tons here. Glen
