    M105: What to look for?

I did not think about the folding handle. They are nice, my current trailer does not have one. You want to keep those plungers lubed though. I bent one at Riley trying to get the stand to release.

    M105: What to look for?

You might get one for that someplace else, but not in Kansas!

    M105: What to look for?

Those tie downs are really nice to have and not many 105s had them. We had one, but our fork lift guys really tore it up before I got to it. I should say truck drivers operating the fork lift. It was all scrap iron to them. Anyway, I spent a few days pounding out dents and making the tailgate...

What have you done with your 5 Ton

We cleared some ground with ours, pulled lots of small cottonwoods. We were chocking, blocking and winching, until we found out the truck would pull most of them with no winch. I wish I had photos, it was impressive to watch. Glen

WC-56 Command Car ... slow, but as promised..

That is a different Command Car, but for the dollars the guy that bought the one locally for, he would have been better off with the Florida car. He will be way over that by the time he gets his restored. Glen

    M105: What to look for?

600 sounds high, but the iron price has driven the trailer price up. If it has new tires and a good cover and the pigtail looks new, not many miles involved, 600 might be good. Glen

Drove into the yard this afternoon and there it was, old green iron!

I wish I could find a buyer for the whole rig before it gets buried and crushed. I always thought they were awesome trucks, this one is too rusty for my limited welding skills. Lots of good parts here though!

    Wierd Start-up

Did it sound normal after the alternator starting charging? My 71 has a noticeable change in volume.

Drove into the yard this afternoon and there it was, old green iron!

I suspect the same bunch brought these in, there are five early 40's GMC and Chevrolet heavy trucks that came in yesterday or Friday. I would like to save whatever somebody really needs. It is pretty straight, but really rusty.

Fort Leonard Wood to Fort Riley

I stopped at the store for some groceries and a young man that appeared to be mid 70's approached me as I was loading groceries into the deuce. He wanted to know if I would start it for him before he left. Of course, I was glad to, he was obviously emotionally attached. I let him reflect in...

Some more photos... I got lost in my cell files, here are some more.

Drove into the yard this afternoon and there it was, old green iron!

The title pretty much tells the story, headed out to grab some windshields and frames out of the five tons and an instrument cluster, some small parts and maybe siphon off some more fuel. Unlock the gates, pull inside and there was a flat hood and round green cab... are you kidding me? Somebody...

How best to flat tow the M1008?

I pulled mine close to 900 miles last February when I picked up my deuce. I just ran lights, a tow bar, left the ignition unlocked, but not on, transmission in park and transfer case in neutral. I did not drop the shaft. We were only running 42 mph in zero temperatures though.

    I finally got my Deuce!

The three lever light switch. It is the black out driving lamp. Moonlight is brighter.

    Deuce manufacturer

They are now up there in Nebraska, they finally got delivered. How is your deuce treating you? There you go, no tires, just some seat parts... Glen
