Its not the antifreeze you need to be concerned so much about, its the other half of the mix ( Water ) most people use tap water which is loaded with silicates, you should be using distilled water to your antfreeze mix. I also add NAPA KOOL which is a SCA ( supplimental coolant additive ) most...
Razer meant to say is "Fording kit installed" If your not fording the truck close to its( unprepped) drown depth then you shouldn't need to hook up that hose.
Put mine on the negative side
Its rated at 190amp continuous and 1000amp rush.
Doghead recently put up a good post which stated that for DC current, negative side is the prefered side for a cutoff

I'll say it once again the newer style coils have internal resisters!
Not to argue with John ( did that once and lost ) but the two ( old and new style ) coils "Should" be the same height (w/ old coil stacked on top of resistor ) but anyway you found the old style coil/resistor so problem...
A resistor is a resistor, you could use a civie type and mount it outside the dist but you need to find one with correct ohm/resistence as the stock one. Or you can just buy a newer style military 24v coil that has a internal resistor which superceded the older 2 piece coil.
Group 24's would be the smallet I'd use ( had them in my first deuce ). My current deuce now has a pair of Group 65's in it and they spin the LTD ( 22 to1 compression ratio ) over with power to spare. My friend in Fla has several dozen MV's and he uses 2 lawn mower Batts ( in series ) setup on...
I have 2, 2" camlocks, ( i corrected my post about it being 1 1/2" ) one plastic and one aluminum and neither one fits on the valve correctly but their not OPW made quality.
I'm 6" 170lbs and can get in the tank but than again I made my living for 27 years climbing in/out of fuel tanks to clean...
Thanks SCSG
I would probably leave the drain valve on IF I could find a cap., I did try a 2" OPW camlock cap but it just doesn't clamp down correctly, any ideas where to find the correct one.
You can't beat viton but Nitrile ( aka Buna -N ) will work also. I plan on removing and capping off my bottom drain valve and will be making the cap off gasket out of 1/8"nitrile and if I get enough ambition I plan on coating the inside bottom third of the tank with "Steel Flex" epoxy coating (...
According to Operators TM5-6115-585-12 ( table 3-2 w/change 8 ) dated 1977, Normal is 25psi and minimum is 15psi.
Now another manual I have ( dated 1988 ) states oil pressure should not go below 20psi. I personaly feel that since these are low rpm constant speed engines ( with solid lifters )...
Nice work [thumbzup]
Those tool compartment trays were hard to find back when I did my 37 ( 1998 ) I would not worry about the ribbing as nobody looks in the tool comp anyway. ( don't forget to add drain holes )

With DC current it does not matter which post ( +/- ) you put the cutoff switch ( ac current is a different story ).
Thanks for the compliments guys
I always like posting/seeing pic's as it seems to explain alot more/better than just reading about it.
My 6TN's finally died so I went and replaced them with a pair of group 65 Batts (1000ca each ) so instead of just shimming them in with 2x4's like I did on my last deuce, I went a bit more secure setup this time ( and added a master switch ).
