    electric question

Don't you mean that you have a 30amp generator wired to a regulator on the firewall?? The Military 60amp Alternator has a internal regulator.

    electric question

Yes its a 100amp gnerator used on the radio/command M-37's ( M-42). I had a burned out one on my 37 and replaced it and all the associated cables with a single wire mil 60amp alternator ( uses same mounting bracket)., I bought a 3 groove pully alt off a Mutt radio jeep and found that the two...

    Plug came out

You can cheat and use a expansion plug ( save you from removing alot of parts ), this would be a quick fix so you could fill system back up ( with just water ) and check to see if there is further damage to the block before going further into the repair with proper ( metal ) plug

    My Hand brake lock

Thanks for the compliment guys I'm a big fan of the KISS principle. Scrapdaddy Everything but the chain is from stuff I had laying around my shop ( 1 1/4" emt conduit, old camphered washer from shock bushing, cut off piece of alt bracket from my tractor mod and some foam toolbox liner )

    My Hand brake lock

Don't know if anyone has done or posted this setup before but.. During the last show I was at I watched my truck suddenly roll back about a foot and I realized two things, one was I need to start chocking my wheels and two was that one of the kids I let up in the cab had released my handbrake...

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Yes a ground is a conductor but if you have everything tied/grounded together then there is no place or circut for the pulse to jump across in the harness being both sides of the circut will be equally charged with the pulse traveling around a transister and not going through or across it, to...

Things I found when I took the rear suspension apart

WOW I'm impressed that you were able to get it all apart, mine was a rotted mess that I replaced with a complete take out. I drilled drain hole in the perchs so water would not lay in there.

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Doghead This is a discussion about hardening a Military genset against a emp burst which can be a natural occurance ( 2013 is suppose to be the suns highest cycle for solar flares/cme's ) or man made ( nuclear ). Our goverment is concerned enough about it to spend/fund billions on upgrading (...

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Another good report on EMP Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack Ahm... thanks there Spedd for pointing out my misstake on stating steel instead of aluminum cover. I had my steel A.S.K cover on my mind when I was posting

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Yes the electronics are inside a steel box but that box is grounded to the unit therefore it will conduct the emp burst/wave through the unit and the electronics. My 003A is on a trailer ( isolated from ground ) and in a steel barn ( buffer ) but I also have it hooked to a ( separate from the...
