I do not think I ever read anything bad about him at all. A couple of guys did not like the way he bobbed a deuce, a couple were upset about using a pristine 813 for a bobbed project, but nobody complains about service or product. Glen
We have a trailer on 900 x 20s and the rear suspension looks just like a deuce, torque rods, pivot, basic spring pack and all. Would anybody happen to know if they use the same bearings? If so, I need to gut that thing! Thanks, G
I drive the tan deuce for a few days, then the green deuce for a few days, every once in a while I drive the M1008, occasionally the M1009. Since I picked up my deuce at Ellsworth AFB February 8th, I have missed driving one six days. By far my most common means of transport is by deuce...
I have never slipped a single wheel in either one of my M1008s. This one bangs a lot more frequently than the older one did. This truck has 40,000 miles and the old one was twice that when it got plowed by a Suburban. Frequently when accelerating in a turn I also get that friendly kick. I...
I am betting it has the Detroit, back up and to the right in a slow tight circle with light braking, then drop it in drive. A lot of times the Detroits will bang, kick the truck sideways a little and make the drive shaft ring. They do not always do it, but if you catch it loading up to ratchet...
3D.... You better keep that thing away from the dairy farm, some Holstein will thinks she's glamorous.
Nice looking truck, it reminds me of the M820 I grabbed the "Tank Doctor" door mascot off of. Glen
I was right, there was two boxes in my pickup bed with 30 each in them. I took the tires and wheels off of the 105s and since the uts were already loose.... Glad you found what you needed. Glen
Want me to send you a few of the others too? I am pretty sure they are the same as the 105 trailers and after stealing the wheels, we crushed 16 of those. I would not be surprised to find out the bolster trailers are the same as well, if so, we have 168 of those out there somewhere, trailers...
Now you are talking! What kind of recovery vehicle are you going in? Lately, I have been on a deuce to recover a deuce roll. Kind of nice to have that tow bar option. Glen
We just had another tool thread on a deuce recovery roll through here in the last two weeks. If you look around a little or search, you will find many threads.
It sounds like a great buy, winch trucks just bring more than that here.
If I had a whistler, I would gladly trade you for your D...
