I've picked up numerous things from the Ft Carson GL, never a problem. I have found setting a couple dozen donuts on the counter usually persuades them to get into gear. Mmmmmmm donuts.
I have done 4 paradres in Commerce City since I joined the MVCC back in '08. This parade is one of our favorites because of the crowd participation and excitement. We roll a varied line of vehicles, Jeeps, Deuces, Ambulances, Wreckers, and sometimes the Club weasel will participate.
If nobody comes up with some part numbers, you can remove them and measure all dimensions with a micrometer. A good bearing house ought to be able to hook you up. If you're not comfortable measuring them, give them to the counterman and he can do it. We do this all the time at work for bearings...
Glen is correct, look right where the wire comes out of the steering box, if the problem isn't there, it's probably inside the steering tube. Look at the TM drawing and replace/repair the wire.
Have you downloaded any of the TM's for your vehicle? There is a lot of operator troubleshooting procedures in them. Rick's suggestion is a good start.
You're probably right Tom, I just looked at mine and the tube that sticks out is too far from the bottom to be a drain. I guess any water would just collect in the bottom.
That is a Packard connection on the incoming end to the female dash outlet, not a Douglas. Here are a few places that stock those.

This schematic is easier on the eyes. Peter Bogg did a fine job on his CAD Schematic, but that blue is rough on the eyes after looking at it for awhile.
Your question can be answered by looking through "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this thread page. Lots of information has been written on this popular subject. Personally I'd put a splitter on one of the stoplight wires near one of the rear lights, and get my "brake signal" there.
