They are a very easy to use and the setup instuctions are quite easy to understand, you'll just have to tweek it to what works for you, i.e. ajusting air press and spray pattern, make a few passes on something else before going to work on your truck ( in my case it was the plastic sheet walls in...
I used one of these on all of my Mil paint jobs...the only way to paint upside down [thumbzup]

The Gillespie paint for our trucks is their 11 series paint which is plain old alkalyd enamel ( industrial paint ) being I called GCI coating and got this info directly from the nice lady there. You can thin it with Naptha, mineral spirits or xylene. I reduce it no more then 3 to 1 being I have...
I've painted 4 vehicles with Gillespie ( 3 in 24087 and 1 in WWII semi-gloss ) with the last one being done 9 months ago, "I" won't use it again. I think for the end price of a gallon that you could get a better paint matched up at your local Sherwin williams ( or whoever ) paint store.
Its very stiff
I have it so the rail ends slide into tubes on the ladder and as you can see by the scuff marks on the paint that they fit into each other quite snug., I had the correct aluminum ladder on my first deuce and that handrail had more play in it then this one
Sorry Sam but it seems there no such thing as a simple question here on the forum anymore
you first need to search all the forums then all the TM's then do a wiki ( what ever the heck that is ) then a google and only then you can ask a question but make sure you apologize several times in that...
As I understand it a common PTO driven generator is setup to run ( at rated power ) off a pto thats turning at 540rpm, the deuce pto even in low gear turns at 650rpm @1000rpm to which I wonder out loud, won't you over speed the generator??
Ok
So if I understand this right then for a 3053A the front ( winch side ) shaft turns at 65% in low gear and 146% in high ( I forgot about it being a 2 speed pto! )
I wonder what the HP rating is for high though either way it look like it turns to fast to run a standard ( store bought )...
I think PTO's ratios are better explained by percentage
When I bought the pto's to run my pumps on my fuel trucks the guy at the driveline shop asked what percentage pto did I want, I ordered a 85% output pto which is geared to turn at 85% of the engine speed to which if my tach indicates...
Thanks
Did you try (re) adjusting the pressure screw on your new one?
HS
Actually I have mine set at 95psi ( corrected my previous post ).
I did not want to overload the airpac to which the brakes seem to work fine at that pressure. , if I remember correctly max pressure should be set about 110psi
I didn't know NAPA sold a pressure regulator for the deuce??
This is the regulator I adjust my pressure with ( mounted on the fire wall ) I have mine set to 95psi.
Though I'm sure your fine with new roller bearings, The mil upgraded the trunions to solid bearings due to high failure of the rollers, do you have the greese fittings on the pivot hub?, if not did you add them? ( another upgrade )
Make sure to ask for a 52" "Wrapped" belt ( much thicker/wider) if your local auto parts doesn't carry it than check a lawnmower shop
NAPA use to carry them but it only came in green but that was quite a few years ago
I know a Detriot diesel returns 70% of what gets pumped up to the injector back to the tank. It was several marine diesel mechanics that told me about the cooling of the injectors with excess fuel I just don't know if it was only particular to the detroits. Heat comes into play during...
