Thanks Martin. I was preparing myself to strip the head of the 1/4" allen screw. Put a little PB Blaster in there before I started. Think I put my cable in the wrong way as it has a sharp turn to make, Does it start over the drum or under the drum? I'm thinking over, I have it under right now...
GREAT. Thank you. I got the cable out of the jam on the right side of the roller. The end of the cable is all frayed, any suggestions on getting that back in the hole so I can tighten the set screw against it? (I find it amazing that's the only thing that physically holds the cable!!!! MUCHO...
My M936A2 has the end of the cable wrapped up between the side of the roller drum(where the end of the cable attaches) and the mechanism that turns the drum. I think I can get the cable out but what holds the end of the cable in the drum itself once I get it out of there?
Thanks, Bob
Like someone else said. Check the level carefully as to TM's. It's easy to get a false reading with all these trucks. I use what was in the vehicle, usually oil. My wrecker apparently has dexron, hopefully I remember and don't mix it with oil.
True and it runs and drives, at least in reverse and 1rst gear in my driveway. True, I will be using it around the house whenever i find stuff to lift and play around with. Recover my other 5 tons/deuce if they break down around town. I don't need the spades.(well never say never). Where'd you...
Haven't driven my wrecker on the road yet, but did up and down the driveway, I thought geez, I need to change the fuel filter or something then realized it's 37,000 lbs vs 22,000....... INDEED having both is the solution! :)
Nothing about zero lights but does about the overspeed warning being on. Guess I'll start the troubleshooting there. Good thing I have extra A2's around, I can substitute parts for troubleshooting on the fly when it warms up a little that is. :)
No I got it in the blind. But I know the two bins behind the cab had nothing in them, there was 2 feet of snow I had to get off them to open them up. Looks like once again the Army/NG stripped it before auction. Guess I shouldn't complain, just over 6K for a running truck is still a deal to me. :)
Thanks buddy, just got a shovel and got all the snow off. I got a big fat goose egg for anything. :( My top is ripped at the front from all the snow on the cover. Any idea what the BII kit will cost me? I don't even have the spades for winching the Army/NG stripped this one clean.
Beautiful. I don't think mine has the spades unless they're on the deck under the snow. Whats with the two u shaped bars standing up? Is that for a cover?
They're covered by snow, so I know the tower didn't loot them then :) Thanks, I wasn't sure there was any more storage. Looks like I have a project in the -temps tomorrow. Hopefully I end up with something, other than one shackle in the cab.
Had it towed to my driveway, tow operator was apparently afraid to take it all the way down my other driveway so dropped it another part. Jumped it with my M1009, started pretty good for our frigid temps. PPV is stuck, tried using a heat gun on it, still frozen. Front winch control is stuck all...
