It is always a good idea to let it warm up before driving it. No matter how hot or cold it is outside. And never forget to let the turbo cool before shutting it off. It will last a lot longer. A small amout of leakage from the turbo shouldn't hurt anything. Besides, the exaust pipe won't rust as...
The oil smoke from the exaust after low speed use is likely from the turbo. They have lybrinth seals in them (old tech). There is a small channel on the comperssor side that brings charge air to the lybrinth seal. This pressure counter acts the thrust and pressuizes the outer parts of the...
I used that same converter to bring my M127 trailor home from san antiono a few months ago. It is 10 times easier to back up than any M105. I think it's because it's wider. The trick is, DON'T use the mirrors. Turn around and look because by the time you see it move in the mirror it's too late...
Bjorn, I'll be in medesto ca the weekend of the 19th and the next week. I'll be driving a 69 kaiser j200 back to houston. I can give you my cell mabye we can meet up or help if you need a hand. I'm heading to boyce equipment on the way to pick up a few things. If you happen to need anything i'd...
You can swap anything. They are interchangable. I perfer the elephant ear mirrors that mount on the windsheld hinges. They hang on a lot better in the woods. The west coasts don't stand a chance with tree limbs.
Kenny, Yea he's trying it all right. But it gets even better. He's going to bring a bulldozer back from howards too. Any body know how much weight a deuce pindle can take????? Or a clutch climbing hills?
I'm told that the main difference is all rubber components are changed to viton. I'm also told tha the fuel ratio is richened to compensate for less BTU's. Hince the milage loss. But as long as the rubber is replaced it will run with less power and milage. I only have one gas vehicle "My wifes...
I watched a news bit last night about a kroger selling E85. It's the first one in town. It's running 40 cents a gallon cheeper than gas. I sure hope it takes off! It's out on HWY 6 though. About 60 miles away. Too far to do me any good. Anybody ever tried this stuff?
Well DR 45MPH is a lot better than 20MPH on the last trip!!! High range is much better isn't it. Besides just think of all the fuel money your saving!!!! Sorry, I had too!
The main difference between the lds and ldt is the oil pan is on backwards. You will need new or reuse the oil pickup tubes from the ldt. You will also have to move the dipstick. Just reuse the plug in the other hole. The LDS usally has the better nozzles for the oil coolers in the pistons. I...
Ida, You'll love that converter. I used DR's to bring my M127 home. About 250 miles at 63 MPH. It worked great. Kenny, Any chance you'll sell 2 empty 6.2 cans?
Bjorn i agree, the hypercycle process is the neatest thing since sliced bread. I had a chance to go to the MAN plant while in germany last month. I saw a pic on the wall in a hallway of the hypercycle process. Couldn't read it though. I don't speak german.
Do you know how long of a shelflife...
