Is there any black smoke? If so mabye the fuel rate is set at the higher setting. I turned mine up a few years ago and it screams. I haven't found another duece that can touch it. I'd be careful running it at that rpm for too long, You might end up with a piston in your lap!!!
DL2 is high sulfur. Or i should say"normal sulfur". It's still avalible for marine use. Good luck getting some. You have to have a special number issued by the state to buy it now. When you buy it, the wholesaler reports to the state how many gallons you purchase on that number. It's not worth...
We installed one on Drat's truck. And it will push his trans shelter with no problem. The bumper is thick enough by it's self.
Witch trailor did you get? Anything less than a 105 uses a smaller pindle.
I'd be worried about the pinion shaft bearings. They would be turning incredible speeds at 70mph. I've changed many of these in our fire trucks. And they only run at 50mph.I'd sudjest a steering stabilizer also. I kicked mine in netrual going down the ship channel bridge. The speedo was buried...
Is that one of those rollover protection bars everybody was talking about a while back? Or just a custom spare tire holder? The battle flag fits nicely!
Changing the t-case was one of the easier jobs i've done. About 4 hours. But changing those little coolant hoses that go from the top of the heads to the intake will want you to shoot someone!!!!
My guess is the oil filters. If the filters were on the shelf for a long time, they will loose some media. Mabye stopping up a oil galley. If the filters stopped up the oil cooler they may have taken it apart because of overheating. By this time the bearings were probally going down hill. The...
I watched it also. After seeing his set up i was thinking, how much is he really saving here? I bet he has $5000 tied up in all that stuff. Did you see that magnetic mixer? That wasen't cheep!!! For small test batched like that you would think a cheeseee wal-mart blender would do. It would take...
You'll need a good plan. It's guarded with the m60 tank. I'll get some pics. The interior is pretty wild. The dash wraps around the driver and the shifter is push button. It has dash vents like it's sopossed to have a/c. It's hard to see, but it's the one being fueled in the above pic. It's on...
It's powered by a cat c10 and has a 7speed allison tranny. It will fly! it's the smoothest mil truck i've ever driven. And really quiet. It's almost car like.
A 1/2 inch drive ratchet fits all the fill plugs on the tranny, t-case, and axles. Unless it's broke or leaking badly don't mess with the oil line to the turbo. It uses oil from the engine, and is lubed from the oil pump. Don't forget to let it idle for 2min before you shut it down. This cools...
The axles hold 5qt's, the t-case holds 4 1/2 qt's, and the tranny hold 4 1/2 without a pto. If you have a pto, 5qts. They ain't cheep, but memphis equipment has your gaskets.
