Sounds like a SCFM problem and not a PSI problem. Are the air tanks the same size or bigger on a A3. Size of the air lines and shutoff valve ports could be an issue.
You don't need a pad. A pad just makes for a nicer install and keeps the skids clean. Both my 003 and 018 have been sitting on the ground and neither one has sunk yet and the ground around them gets pretty soggy at times.
I used the two mounting locations and blocks so that I didn't crush the lower part of the soft top and super cord between the mount and pole. That way it is easy to remove the top. I would like to use the upper and lower holes but need to figure a way to keep the soft top from bunching up on the...
Time to update your avatar. I agree that a hole between the fifst and second factory holes would be nice. I would have to pull them apart though to drill the holes because I know my luck.
I have not put one in a front axle but I did replace the gov-loc in the rear of my K5 Jimmy and loved it. Very smooth operation. No special oil or additives needed. I would use one in the front with no reservation. 2cents
Just a thought. When I installed my convoy lights I feed them through a separate circuit breaker, original military style 15 amp, so if something went wrong it wouldn't kill my other power for the regular lights.
