READ: GL/GSA/other auction posts (2007 Version)

I usually look words up I don't understand, especially when I agree to the statement in which that word is used. Straight out of Wikipedia: Collusion is an agreement between two or more persons, sometimes illegal and therefore secretive, to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading, or...

    m35a2 insurance... need advice

What do you think will happen when you submit a claim? Someone other than your "Agent" is going to throw the BS flag and you just might be denied any settlement on your claim. You essentially have mis-represented what they are insuring. Sounds nice now, but something eventually could raise it's...

    m35a2 insurance... need advice

I have Gulfway also, I'm not so sure about the MV "daily driver" coverage, I had to prove to them I had other insurance for my (Chevy) daily driver. This stipulation (I would think) would prohibit you from using your MV as a daily driver. Just my observation.

So easy, a dummy could do it...

I can't remember when I have installed a more trouble free after-market product. Full oil pressure within 3 seconds, instead of the butt-puckering 10-12 seconds. I would recommend this modification to everyone.

    1953 M135 upgrade?

For starters, do you have the TM's on this vehicle? Between the Forums here and the TM's, you could very easily have a no-worry, dependable truck.

    Military Batteries

I Goggled "Deuce Batteries" and the first 2 hits supplied me with a link back to SS, discussing different options on batteries. OP (dblcamaros) sometimes it helps just to Google what you are interested in, more often than not you will get a link right back here.

    14.00 x 20 retreads

Civilian mechanics at Fort Huachuca tried to put retreads on the front of my (not short) 45 pax bus, the Truckmaster went ballistic, I could hear him from across the street.

    Troubleshooting Horn

I'm guessing the solenoid is bad. My theory:  With the engine warm, it causes the coil in the solenoid to expand just enough to create an open circuit, therefore no magnetic field is created to pull in and actuate the valve. When the motor is cold, the coil is intact and will create that...

Enough wondering, Driving the Deuce to the insurance agents office

Hope you got all that in writing. I don't know what camping out of the Deuce has to do with anything, or Mama banging her head on something and falling out of it. If someone tripped getting out of your daily driver sedan, what insurance company is going to cover that? I didn't drive to the...

    Fine thread bolts vs coarse

When I remove any bolts, I usually run them across the wire wheel and then chase the threads with a die, or a tap for a hole or nut if they need it. A little anti-seize on the threads and it's ready to re-install. I might replace a fine thread with coarse, but only in a pinch, there is a reason...

what kind of pyrometer are you using?

Here are the 2 items I purchased from Hewitt Industries in California. I am very happy with both instruments, no hassels at all. I even ordered black faces, white numerals, and lighting provided by red LEDs to mimmick the instrument panel in my Deuce. The price was right around $200 shipped. I...
