I'm aware that idling these generators can cause failure of the voltage regulators. I have one of Kenny's old ones and was tinkering with it this AM. I got about a 1 or 2 second run out of it with starting fluid with the gas shut off. I didn't want it to keep running until I had the answer to...
RE: Another deuce brake problem
Maybe it won't stop worth a da**, but my point was that you will still have brake lights to at least indicate that you are trying to stop.
RE: Another deuce brake problem
The hydraulic side of the system will still work I believe, you just have to push harder on the pedal. Get in your truck and step on the brakes with no air pressure, you still have pedal and you can stop the truck from rolling.

Don't know if you have ever changed your flexible brake lines, but if they have not been done for many years, you may have a deterioration of the innermost layer that is not allowing the fluid to return towards the MC after you apply the brakes.

A pony motor is a small motor that you fire up and get running and then it is used to turn over and start the BIG motor. It's basically a starter. Big old diesels can take quite a while turning over to build enough heat to fire on their own.

Gerhard photoshopped the original picture posted by Renato on May 19th and today Renato removed it and replaced it with the one that is there now. Perhaps Gerhard or Renato will repost the original or someone on the forum saved it and will repost.
