Thats pretty much it although I would limit the adjustment to maybe a 1/2 turn to start with and lock the 2 nuts before you test drive. A nice steady full throttle run up a hill will give a better indication of EGT build up.

Thats interesting. I never gave the alcohol in modern gas a thought. Just thinking out loud but does aviation grade gasoline contain alcohol ?. Maybe source from a small GA airport.

Congratulations on the truck. You either need the tall cover like KsM715 indicated or cut down the side uprights to use your stock cover.
