Thanks to all SS folks who gave me input on my winch. It has been cleaned, painted, and given new seals and gaskets. All back together now (except the fairleads) and appears to function just fine. I have a new cable and chain from TJN Murray and that will go on when I put the winch back on...
True but I don't find any rebuild instructions in the TM's for these kits. Some of us are not as talented as others!! I guess you can call me airpack challenged.
Thanks all for the inputs. For those who are not sure what the plug looks like, I have attached photos. I don't plan to use the plug since the keys are in very good shape. It is nice to know what the plug is and the purpose.
Floridianson, I am not following you. The plug I am talking about is on the cylindrical surface of the cable drum at the slip clutch end. It is slotted and is about 1/2" in diameter. It is not shown in the 206 TM which only shows the allen plug that holds the winch cable in the cable hole. :doh:
