When my son ran my M1008 out of fuel, I was dreading the start up. I bled the filter twice and it started just as I was going to check for more air. That has been on great running 6.2! I am going to grab a set of short wrenches to join the socket sets that are under the seat.
The ones on my M1009 rotate freely, they are all the time banging off of the back bumper on rough bounces. My M1008 is not as bad, but I think that is due to the extra coats of paint that they have.
I ran a M139 about 70 miles, pretty much flat out and I am not sure we never hit 45 mph. Good thing it has a large fuel tank... different engine, different truck, but a multifuel deuce is speedy compared to that thing!
If you have not run it off road before, I think you will be impressed with just how much it will do and how smooth that 6.2 moves it around. She is no hotrod, but she sure is smooth at what she does. Glen
That old building is Coronado Heights. My father took us there as children and told us wild tales of how the slots in the wall were made to fight off the Indians when Coronado the Explorer came through with his soldiers. I always thought it was so cool, until I found out it was a 1930's WPA...
