I am using a pallet jack and I am happy with the results. I have the generator sitting on 4x4’s so the pallet jack can slide under the side. I lift using the pallet jack roll it outside and set back down on the 4x4’s when running. The pallet jack rolls easily and rather than casters can be used...
Per the air system schematic the RR diff solenoid is supplied air from the same source as the fan which is via the pressure protection valve on the wet tank.
From what I can see no the mounting for the fuel governor is different. Other than that they look close. I had to replace mine whenI got my truck, I found one locally used at a truck salvage yard, cost around $175.
I recall reading in the research done by the army into the driveshaft issue the engine angle mentioned. I don,t recall the specific number. Also I believe the angle is a compromise between the front and rear driveshaft. With the front being shorter the angle is worse.
i will look at my mounts...

I am getting ready to do the same locker upgrade, when you installed the locker did you leave the original thrust washer that was behind the axle gear installed or was it removed?
Picture 7 shows it still in the diff half and I didn't see them in picture 8. It looks like it will...
I believe pulling the cam gear with a puller is possible, however you still may need to pull the cam forward a small amount to get enough clearance to get the puller arms behind the gear.
Regarding fuel timing etc. You don’t need to worry about synchronizing the injectors and likely the effect...
I have done the repair however I pulled the cam. Unfortunately to pull the cam you also have to pull the radiator. Thle repair wasn’t difficult but did take some time since a lot needs to be removed.
A bracket should not be hard to fab, however I would either rebuild yours or I was able to get a New take off compressor from eBay a few months back for under $250. Also it doesn’t look like the ps pump coupling is the same and the pump will be rotated vs the original setup which will effect the...
Here is a wiring diagram I had, not sure if this exactly for your unit, regardless everything should be wired the same. This schematic looks like it may be for a setup using 2 seperate pressure switches. One would be a high pressure switch which is used to turn the condenser fan on when the...
Do you already have the lines or will you be making them? What help are you needing? I made my own lines and used an off the shelf condenser, dryer and pressure switch so my hose routing may differ from yours if you at using different lengths etc. Let me know your specific questions and I can...
I replaced mine with a used one from a local truck salvage yard. It wasn’t hard but it did take some time as I pulled the camshaft to pull the housing. It’s possible to pull the cam gear and avoid having to pull the cam, since the gear is pressed on you would have to preheat the gear to reassemble.
Ok I have attached a couple of pages showing how the governor works. I believe what is being called the “android valve” is called the fuel ratio control and is #3 in the attached pic.
The purpose of the fuel ratio control is to limit the fuel under low boost conditions.
If I understand...
Had the rear drums on my m1078 stick a few weeks ago due to rust. I was unable to break them both free by trying to pull forward. I caged the brakes and was able to use a hammer and piece of wood to hit the exposed edge of the shoe and they easily broke free.
