Sanded the hull and worked on the wheels today. (The plans I bought had the wrong rims and tires. I redesigned them to 16 bolt rims and will have 6 log mounts)
Tracks are made from a cloth ribbon with small pieces of oak wood glued to it. Rollers have slightly raised walls to keep the track centered. I don't think the tracks would hold up to play. Too fragile..
Those 3D pieces for the front bumper were quite a task. They are made out of a 1-5/8" x 1-1/2" blocks of hard Maple. That is a challenge for the scroll saw to cut through. My hands and arms were strained from hold down and guiding the work piece.
