second gear slides on the shaft, then put in 2 keys and press hub on, then snap ring, then 2/3 syncro, then 3d gear. make sure 2/3 syncro is facing correct way or it will not shift. both gears spin freely on shaft.
That is just a waste of time. All you need to do is measure from the hub face to the face of the nut and do the math. It's in the manual and really simple.
With historic plates you will barely be able to drive it. Lots of restrictions. Technically, former military vehicles are not allowed on roads in Maryland.
