I will be studying the brake switch position and adjustment as well as the TPS section for the same. I know the TM have a prt in that, as well as the trans supplement has some helpful parts. Thanks for giving me heads up.
We are in the beginning of the Sturgis motorcycle rally, so the next two...
I do have the supplement, yes. I have been reading and trying to understand the basics. Mind you, until I recently replaced the filter, I've never worked on an automatic transmission, let alone seen the insides live with my own eyes (as our VP would say :ROFLMAO: ) I really appreciate your...
UPDATE:
I ran the Transmission diagnostic mode and got three codes.
22 - Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Low
38 - Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Brake Switch Stuck Off
85 - Undefined Ratio Error
I will start getting a plan together, doing some research. Does anyone have any pointers, lessons...
Thanks for the reply. You are absolutely right on the difference between the two, that is why it is hard to describe, it is more of a mix without the whole of the symptoms, only some. Thanks for asking to clarify.
To elaborate, no racing rpms/engine when it happens, sudden and brief (1 second...
Hello everyone.
Update on the transmission pan: I was able to clean up the pan mating surface, and the old gasket. I took a chance and installed it, static leak check was good. We drove the truck for 45 miles. continuously checking in 1-2 mile intervals, then 5 mile intervals. All is/was great...
When you say factory, do you mean order a new hard one, or go with the flexible rubber? I think you mean the latter, but want to double check.
Edit
Just reread your post, I understand better now, get a new hard gasket.
Thanks everyone.
I was leaning towards that as well. If you zoom in, you can see the old gasket has metal inserts where the bolts run through, sort of a spacer function? The actual seal part is really only 1 or 2 ribs.
'mornin' all,
I need some advice on the transmission pan gasket.
This morning I pulled the pan off and am replacing the filter. The fluid looks great, no leaks from the gasket in the past, very little metal on the magnet. So far so good.
Looking at the gasket, the TM says to reuse the gasket...
I really don't mean to sound sarcastic, but have you paid attention to the directional turn signal apparatus? I know mine binds up (I mean really binds up) when I get to the point the "trigger" reaches the turn signal assembly. I have gotten used to it until it fails. Then I will replace mine..
You're welcome.
Yeah, it's weird, but my cross bow fits great... double check yours when you install. Also, put your doors on to make sure there's no gap.
Interesting. I’ve been pushing around the same thought, and for 210 miles i had to fill up 17 gallons (almost even). That brought me to 12.35 mpg on my M1123, 6.5 non turbo. But a lot of idling and starting while troubleshooting. Gonna repeat the test in the near future…
Now recalling a few days ago when I had a chance to replace the fuel filter, the fuel water separator was not present. I will need to get a new one ordered, and noticed there are different versions out there. Some are made of plastic, other of steel mesh (Stainless?). Are both original, or...
A short while ago I replaced my windshields, got them off of Fleabay from a great vendor. Lowered the price nd gave free shipping. I was able to re use the gaskets, they were somehow still very serviceable.
And, following someone's' lead here on the board, I turned $11 Wally World wipers into...
