    Alignment help needed after shim removal!

    Here is a video with basic breakdown on the principals. Then, follow the TM (9-2320-280-20-2 Paragraph 8-11, page 8.38 . Also front end is para 8-10, page 8-32. Some follow on maintenance required. These TMs are written with a 18 year old high school graduate in mind. Pretty easy to follow.

    We just returned from a 20 mile round trip, driving between 25 and 60 mph, 94 degrees outside temp. The codes have cleared from before and have not returned. Shifting is just like it is supposed to be, we even were able to down-kick, that was not happening before. Very happy for now, hopefully...

    I have used the impact driver, no luck. Used both bit, wide flat head, and #3 Phillips. Getting to the point of almost stripping the fasteners, but stopped short of that. Used penetrant oil as well.

    I reinstalled the box (without opening and testing D8), and checked for codes. All were erased, I am assuming that is by design once the power is removed or is there just no condition to trigger any codes? So, now I will be test driving soon and will report back.

    I've got the TCM out, cleaned the fasteners really well, but they aren't budging. Even with impact driver. Now I'm afraid to hit it "really hard". Suggestions? Would it be safe to assume we have voltage or is it crucial to find out? Thank you for sticking with this...

    I'll get on that. Quick question, do I need to disconnect the batteries at any point, like when disconnecting the connector? The fasteners are a real b!tch, original with CARC on them.

    So, I got 3.78V on the #355 at the TPS, as much as I could open the throttle on that little lever. There may have been some more room past that, but I was dangling over the motor, trying to mind all the "No Step" areas. #355 at the TCM box is 0.44V as well.

    Hmmm. #355 has 0.44V. #350 has 4.99V.
