hey pal , I've got a 61 m-51. the one pto does work the winch and dump ," BUT " they are engaged separately.. OK the dump lever all the way forward engages the pto for the dump ONLY. the winch lever only engages the WINCH, which has IN, hi and lo, out, hi and lo. I hope that helps...
what I think I see is you're winch control lever is near the floor ?? is it like that with the safety latch engaged?? something looks off . .what I do regularly is squirt all the pivot points with old motor oil, besides hitting the grease fittings. don't know if I'm being much help, or just...
when u say the dump lever goes up and down. on my m-51 the dump lever stands straight up. when in the hoist position, all the way towards front, which is straight up, you can't get out of the truck, because the handle is right at you're hip. one pos. back is hold, next pos. back is press...
sounds like u're front bearing on the t-case is gone. remove the drive shaft which I presume u already did. drive it , see if u still got vibes . when I got my 5 t0n half the bolts on the front driveshaft were gone.
hope all goes well for you. my 5 ton once wouldn't go over 25 mph. I made it to a gas station and put in $30.00 of high test and drove the heck out of it,and then it fixed itself. you might want to check you're fuel lines. see if they are squishy. if they are old ,the ethanol will eat them up to.
it's probably that crap ethanol gas ?? did you put stabil in the tank and run it for 15 min. before putting it away?? the best bet is to use high test gas with no ethanol in it.
way back in 1973 my girlfriend took her new cuda to the dealer for its first oil chng. drove back home, about 25 miles, and said the oil light stayed on. yup , the clowns didn't put oil back in.
they came out and put oil in it,and that 318 got the heck beat out of it by me. never had any...
my 5 ton has had the disappearing brake fluid since I bought it 17 yrs. ago. I put some in it every couple weeks to keep it from running dry. and I check it before I take it for the usual coffee run on sat and sun. never did find the problem and got tired of looking.
my buddie don't try to get rich , ****, last year he sold a twin beacon set up, in the box, with cable and switch, for $ 100. he'd rather get rid of the stuff so he don't have to take it home, unload it and bring it down next year.
