Today I decided to power wash the radiator since I never cleaned it good since I got it & have yet to install my new aluminum one, I also washed the engine down as well, after that I went to drive it back and I notice about 4 miles later, the temp gauge was showing at almost 240 and the fan...
Make sure all of your hoses are tight and not dry rotted. I had a leak at the fuel filter, which was due to a loose line, all I had to do was tighten it.
I was successful in registering my humvee in vermont last year and my BRDM 2 this year. The only thing they had wrote me back was for export proof on the BRDM and I had underpaid the fees.
Another question comes to mind, can just the front lip piece be changed from the LMTV wheel to the MRAP or is them outside bolts a different pattern too?
A better look at the 2 different wheels, they seem pretty closely identical in terms of where the studs are. I'm going to check tomorrow and see why I couldn't get the adapter plate to fit on the LMTV one. Maybe because I was trying to put the plate on the inside of the wheel instead of the outside?
Hmm, maybe it is MRAP rims I got, I thought they was for the HEMTT. They're the 53 inch tires, here's a picture of the ones I had the plates on, which rims are these?
Would the HEMTT wheels fit directly on the LMTV tires? I already have those MRAP plates which fits on the HEMTT wheels but I really didn't feel like fighting with removing rims.
Can someone tell me whether or not the LMTV rims would bolt right on to the M35a2. I notice the adapter plate I had bought doesn't fit on these rims, it seems pretty close to the m35a2 bolt pattern but its hard to tell. If these don't fit, is there any adapter plate available for it?
Don't know if this the correct place to post, but let's say if parts start becoming scarce for the m35. What would be the best alternative to the m35 in terms of having a 12ft bed or slightly longer, being reliable, not being so huge, and being simple? It doesn't have to be as simple if the...
I done some reading last week on the different engines that came in the humvee & saw about the "P400" being the best one of them all which fixed all of the flaws of the original 6.5 & came with a stronger block than the GEP & 6500 Optimizer. From what I read, this engine was better than the 6500...
Yea I agree, its not really worth it, I just have my air pump with me at all times. I also have an inverter so I can use it at whatever time I need too
When you're finished, please let us know how this go. From what I know, you're going to have to modify your geared hubs or get some that was made for the CTIS if you want to go the OEM route, and that can get costly. I met one guy on the youtube comment section months ago that told me he was...
