    CUCV starting problems

I’m very well aware of the rules. I personally don’t like eBay and will not mention their name unless absolutely necessary.

    CUCV starting problems

There’s a brand new one on the big auction site right now. Plus two used ones.

    CUCV starting problems

New factory ones are still available online or post your needs in the Parts wanted section. I’ve bought two (one installed, one for spare) and they both have the fuel pressure sensor location completely removed from factory. They’ve gone up in price but still worth it. The spin-on filter...

    M105 lift gate

If your happy with the price then it was worth it. All surplus military trailers are going up in price. You paid $300 and will spend way more than that in bringing it back to life, if that is what your plan is. It’s old but cool.

    cucv glow plug card

The glow plugs are inexpensive enough that I would just replace them. Who knows how long those have been in there. Most guys use the ACDelco 60Gs That way you know their all good.

    My first CUCV

Next you’ll want a M1008 pickup........then the M101 series trailers for them.......then??? The addiction is real

    AN/TPQ-36 FireFinder (Modified M116A1) Trailer

Weather finally permitted some work on trailer. Installed 4 new shackles. Will Paint when trailer is painted Removed brake drums and gave a coat of primer. Will paint later today. No heavy rust or pitting inside drums. Brakes looked good. Removed one brake lever and it’s soaking in rust...

    CUCV no start

A new factory style fuel pump would have been a lot easier to change than create yet another possible fail point with the electric one. Same with fuel filter. Much easier to troubleshoot. Plenty of threads on how to permanently fix that leak from the fuel sensor. I bought the new...

    Radiator part number

They still make the copper/brass radiators for these. Exact fit. No their not cheap but you get what you pay for. Do a search for copper/brass radiator and the old thread should come up that has the p/n. Any good radiator shop can get it.

    Time for some trailer maintenance

Please post the part number for your brake cables. There are several sellers out there that claim their surplus cables will work and end up being too long. Doable but not correct ones. Part numbers for the other items you replaced will also help others. Thanks

    Yes or no camper top

As much as your truck looks like a regular civilian truck, I would leave it. Just paint it. It looks fine and free is always good

Rear wheels hop when in snow

Tire pressure might also affect hop

    Painted my M101a2

I was referring to the mounts themselves, not the shackles. Their huge and look like they will allow the shackles to really bounce around. M101 series trailer shackle mount is 3/4” hole. I’ve even seen 1” Your trailer looks like just a big loop. Was just curious if you made the change...

What did you do to your trailer today.

If the wheels are staying as is, then painting the entire trailer solid black would look good.

    Cucv Fuseable link help

No matter how nice the truck, it’s still over 30 years old. Internal corrosion of the wire(s) might have been the issue. Corrosion adds resistance which equals heat. Wire can look brand new on the outside, but be corroded internally. After reading the other good ideas, that’s the only thing...
