actually putting it outside is unnecessary cause its fumes are already plumbed outside with proper installation while LP heaters do NOT pipe any combustion outside. Am in agreement with you..... the diesel ones are safer when considering the overall picture.

This yellow truck's mirrors look like any other mirror on newish-ish medium trucks... but if you look closer you see with them being well in front..... this gives the truck a much overall narrowed stance. just thought someone might find it interesting

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

Think the MTV are programmed higher for HWY than the LMTV already so the starting point prior to the doubling is higher. Though you may have accounted for that in your numbers.

maybe lube/renew the rubber duck bills and any other rubber you can in the system a little with MOTHERS and they may not squeak as much/last longer Im not sure if Will ( @Suprman ) can program them different than what you have. Under impression there are two choices in programming and that...

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

there is a thread on here you can probably find about changing the transducer to a higher pressure one? This will up the pressure on all default settings of CTIS. It is located under the power panes. Some folk have also done an air solenoid to switch between the OEM transducer and the...

this is what lends me to believe the space above it is open and tank can be lifted out for filling. but hard to say. close inspection of pic looks like on right side there is a latch. Wonder if that spot was formerly an undercarriage spare tire area... hence why not so concerned if it hangs...

diesel would not go bang.... it is harder to ignite via spark. only way I can think of (if they owner has a brain) that he feels this is not as huge an issue as folk are making it..... is if above the tank is either a floating trap door w/nothing above it or its inside a cupboard with...

If you rescue someone with your truck in the snow this week, please do a video

IMHO if you do any rope tugging an avg. car/truck hook it to something lower on your truck than the pintel. ESP if the strap/rope your using is short. The upward angle will end up with you replacing peoples bumpers/front fascia cause the angle of the rope cracks their fascia . Should not so...

    Cab airbag upgrade

Good point on wear limitations. There is a place to put it though.... its just not on your truck anymore. Well..... not in this area of your truck anymore  below is bad drawing. Attaches on the support member there.... runs down a ways then loops back up where it attaches to the cab...

    Cab airbag upgrade

though not confident in the buckle of that strap (easy fix)... @Ronmar do you think that would alone suffice to limit up travel? hmmm... wonder if there is/could be made some solid attachment up above one could use to put a down travel limit strap???

What have you done WITH your FMTV ( trips, Rescues etc) NOT: fixes, updates etc

lol which winch are you speaking of? Military or Civilian? - military PTO winch on FMTV is rated (I believe) on OUTER most winding on the winch's spool. And it is a heck a lot of wire cable on them so that outer layer creates a very large pulley compared to the size it would be if you...
