Pat, the guy that is stopping by my place this week said he would haul the field cooler back to CA for free. PM if interested and we can settle on a price for the field cooler. If you are not interested, no worries. Good luck with the trailer!
I have one of the Cambro field coolers (large standing cooler). A fellow SteelSoldier is driving from my place to CA sometime next week. Perhaps, you could throw him a few bucks for fuel to transport it home. I could put you in touch with him. PM me if interested.
I don't believe it will fit into a 3/4 ton trailer. Admittedly, I am basing this upon carrying one in an M105A2. It did fit in there nicely, but the foot basket would push the rear flap out a bit. The mule took up the entire length of a 1-1/2 ton trailer.
You may want to give Dave at Eastern a call; Dave is a nice guy and they have a lot of parts (great source). Perhaps, they have changed their policy. When I contacted them, they had many, many tires on hand and I think it was going to be tough to take stacks of them down to pick and choose...
Unless something has changed, Dave (at Eastern) told me you get the tires they pull...that they don't have time to pick and choose. Something could have changed (they may have fewer tires now...not sure). Dave told me that the tires were good. I ended up getting my tires from Wes Simpson, but...
You may have gotten a warning for posting auction information on the site, but there is nothing stopping you from letting someone know via PM about that information.
I'd stick with the M817. You might be able to find a good take out for a reasonable price. I used to see them available from time to time. Moving the bed to a M923/M925 won't work very well IMHO. The bed is made for the shorter WB trucks, like a tractor. Even then, the cab protector won't...
Absolutely. Your truck shows typical weathering/fading for that age. Personally, I'd stick with what you've got. It is fairly clean, even if it is faded.
Sure, the initial owner can sell a vehicle that came out on an EUC. Yes, only the original buyer goes through the EUC process, BUT all subsequent owners are bound by the agreement. For example, the EUC states something about not being able to export the property (unless the person has the...
Perhaps, I have misinterpreted the latter part of what you said, but the EUC still applies to all parties down the line who may own the truck. It is incumbent on the original seller to pass along the requirements of the EUC to subsequent owners.
$8500 is too much for an M109A3 unless it is MINT. They are not very common, but they are out there if you look. I've bought them from private sellers in the $5500-6500 range and those trucks were very clean (rust free) with turbo engines and good rubber, along with clear titles. I'd hold off...
Wes, after putting a lot of miles on it, how do you like the stock transmission vs. the 16 speed CAT transmission? Are you planning to leave the existing transmission in the truck?
