Quite a few have done it with varied degrees of success. A quick search will get you to the right threads.

A few guys have made them for different military trailers. They worked great and you don’t ruin your trailer. Would love to have one, but will get a BigTex dump trailer instead. I saw about two dozen self contained dump beds at Red River Army Depot. Diesel engine and hydraulic pump, etc...

Have you looked inside your fuel tank, at the fuel pickup sock? If it’s clogged it will cause trouble.

Are the ends damaged? Mine are original and have been flawless. Almost 4 years now
