    M1009 Wipers

You may need to replace the wiper motor with a new reconditioned wiper motor. They usually have a lifetime warranty. Also just unplug the capacitor and plug the wire plug directly into the wiper motor. No wire cutting necessary. The capacitor is not needed and may be causing your issue to begin...

It would work fine one day but the next day it would race the engine to about 3/4 throttle. Just the same as the OP...

    My DIY tow bar

I think a pair of matching heavy triangular plates welded fast to the tow eye "top and bottom" with 2 holes to accept the arm bolt pins will work just fine. That will still allow for the adjustable tow bar width your looking for.

    Wiper issues

Make sure you bypass the radio resisters that the military put in. They are no longer needed, will often fail and cause issues with your wipers. If that's not the case, it sounds as if you got bad remanufactured wiper motors "It happens". You can turn them back in for a replacement under...

You may have water in the system. Hydraulic fluid doesn't expand or compress but water does when it freezes. My Kubota hydraulic fluid always has water in it when I change it. Look for a hidden drain plug lowest point on the underside.
