You may want to check for fuel leaks under your intake.Take off the air cleaner and check for wet areas in the back. If its a fuel leak it tends to drip down the drain channel in back of the motor and drops it in front of the tranny. Looks just like oil by the time it hits the ground. If it is...
As Mg84648;1683118 said. The only difference on mine was I used urethane windshield caulk and the rubber seal that came with the track from LMC. I just let the caulk dry over night before my install. That was a recommendation from the glass shop.
A MX 6707 base with matching whip works fine on my M1009. Just had to turn the tuning knob manually till I got a good radio match and cut about 10" off the antenna. Works great for a few miles out even tied down.
CUCVRUS, I rebuilt the tail gate when I first got it. All new side tracks, rubber, crank, and lift gears. Thought the glass would be fine till I saw a few M1009s with tint and changed my mind. Thanks for the helpful advise.
You can have my old window glass from my M-1009 when I replace it with new tinted. I wanted to tint my windows but they are scratched up to much. The auto glass shop can still get the glass new and tinted for less than $100 for the rear and $70 for each side (their cost). With that said why...
I apparently did not know the correct definition of "snow ball effect" and I stand corrected for using that term loosely. What I should have said is that the "poor mans effect" will happen when you replace one or two plugs VRS all eight. The original plugs will still have more resistance than...
If one or more plugs fail, its most likely one of four things; The plugs are old and are due for replacement, They are of inferior quality, the original glow plug system has been altered or there is a mechanical issue when trying to start the truck (hard starting) weak batteries, fuel leaks and...
Has anyone suggested to check the integrity of your batteries (load test) . If you have a dead cell in one of the batteries the starting symptoms are virtually the same as you described. Some times it could be the simple things that you over look that causes a lot of confusing discussions.
I just sprayed some green paint on the antenna mast and slipped it over the wet paint. Also to detail the insulation ends I took it to the grinding wheel and ground the shape. It worked better than using a knife.
I hear the whips slap against the topper when going over rough terrain. It's somewhat unnerving to hear them hit, but I know where the sound is coming from so I don't worry about it.
I had the same problem; the fix I did was to take short pieces of black refrigerant line insulation (5/8" I...
Depends if you want to keep it original to the age of your M1009. The 84's had them on the back end and tied down the antenna to the front and then the government decided it better to mount them behind the doors and tie the antennas to the back. This helped keep the antennas from grabbing trees...
