    Need Bow measurement M135/M34

M135 Bow bend deflection specification Is there an optimum/ historical/ correct height for the center of the Bows on the M135? The best 60 year old bow in the fleet shows a deflection of about 5" so I started with that as a hobby fun build for ole' Goose. Once I get good at this, I might...

    WW2 Ben Hur Trailer Indentification

The little bit of research I did on them said there were dozens of manufacturers of the little Ben Hur trailer. I think I found some of the info on a modellers site which came about after searching "Ben Hur Trailer" ""Images"", then went to visit the page the image came from. I also read it had...

    G749 preservation

Thanks for the kind words brother. This forum is a great way to keep the family members current on what's going on. Most of the bus info is kept on the Civil Defence thread and by the last extremely formal, Canadian Civil Defence Museum Association meeting I Chaired for the first time, this is...

    New Member with M211

G749 muffler After building the jig and welding up the first muffler the fabricating boys got a little nervous about 'selling' the new mufflers across the border. The challenges with warranty, liability insurance, export permits, a small market and quality customer service makes it cost...

    G749 preservation

G749 Engine Parts How many G749 engine crates does it take to fill a scrap yard.......about a dozen! I had pics of these posted a few years ago and the owner keeps calling to ask if I want any of this stuff. I'm not sure of the exact count but we found 12 boxes with 302's and the hired help...

    Military Fire Trucks

Remembrance Day fire support I did an "Images" search for "Chevrolet Class 325 Fire Truck" so I could drive myself nuts wanting another style of MV. Real sweet looking 2 axle truck. Clicking on the image then clicking on "Go to page" on this next link may net you some better photos. Here's a...

New young guy with a XM211 and lots of questions.

Welcome to the Early Deuce Decent Docent Formula One racing Team, the EDDDFORT. I'm also 19....X2.75 and drive my 56' 6x6 M135 like a formula car. The big question is, whatcha gonna do with That? I decided to go original, use it for parades and as a dedication platform to my military buddies...

    M220 AirPak rebuild.

We should keep the JollyRoger rebuild sticky as a learning thread and put your solutions on one of your original threads Brad. It's all good information that we like to keep for future "Brake Problems", so we'll link your solutions over here...

    G749 preservation

You said it!!!! There are places that you just don't drive during a wet spell. For at least a decade we had very dry falls and access was easy. After the Fort Mac fires we had rain....or snow... for 7 days out of 10, 70% of our summer was soggy. A cummins lovin' Steel Soldier, Terrh found out...

    G749 preservation

This is my first potatoe picture post ever. These things are purple all the way through and taste like butter and salt. The G749 Farm was rolling with history so we grabbed a picture of the 76 Oshkosh P-4, the 1966 GM Fire Department Bus and the 1956 GMC M135 Early Deuce. The 1966...

    New here

Welcome aboard from the northern part of the continent. The welcoming committee is usually really friendly and you don't need to score a goal to get a hug around here. Did you find your 5 ton?

Alberta Canada Trips In Vehicle Events ACTIVE

It's funny because I should know more about the folks that actually kicked the museum off in the first days. In 94' I delivered materials for the display cabinets and snapped a photo of my 72' Chev sitting in front of the Avro Anson but was too busy to become heavily involved with operations...

Winter storage ,keep the critters out of the cab.

We've had some luck with steel wool in the M135 and the M207 shop van but they are just temporary plugs over the winter. There is the problem with rust if you're in a moist climate but it washes off in the spring. Think I might try S.O.S. pads and see if the soap helps keep the rust away. We...

Pic # 6 our Daisy Mae Let's finish this up before I forget. Picture # 6 is a remake of the B-25 my good buddy Terry Champion drove into the hanger that the Alberta Aviation Museum currently resides in. Daisy Mae is as complete as any static B-25 can be so here are a few extra pics to top off...

    delivered the hispano

It sure was a hard dig to come up with an MV using the search term Hispano. Saw a ton of very cool cars I'd never seen before so it's a worthy "images" search but the gun was elusive. Is this part of what we're looking at here? http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/H/i/Hispano_20mm_gun.htm

    Distracted driving

It's hard to believe that it's a Silverado pick up truck. Very Sad. I'm real impressed when I see someone not looking at their phone when they're in a vehicle. Here's the latest available stats. http://www.distraction.gov/stats-research-laws/facts-and-statistics.html In 2014, 3,179 people...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

G749 Canadian Production Numbers These are all good questions that deserve better answers than I have. I first recall the metric system in school in 1977 and some folks putting stickers over the MPH gauges on the dash in their civi cars but I've never seen them in the deuces. The rest of us...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Not sure exactly what year it happened but the feds made the lads add an orange triple bar to the roof as well as a red one to the rear. My convoy switch powers the mirror and roof lights. The truck on page 3 is missing the triple, light bar on the roof but I'm guessing it had one.
