I have a thread going on the HMMWV mods page but thought I should check in here.
I have a M998/Duramax conversion that I just mounted a stripped S788 shelter to and plan to convert into a camper.
I have some of what I want worked out but I need some sort of windows in the sides and rear.
I do...
I know this is not the time everyone is normally thinking about AC. My plans have changed since I have decided to possibly cut a pass though between the S-788 shelter and the cab of the DuraVee, so the Red Dot unit I have will not work.
I have seen at least partial factory dash units showing...
This truck went for 40K today, I really need to talk to my Ins. company, I am way under insured, the dang speedo was half full of water and the windshield was busted, among other things GEEZ...
Anyone know of a source for this decal ALSO has anyone seen this on a Gov. HMMWV? as in is it an official sticker? This is actually the second different sticker I have seen, I think.
I would like to get an idea what in fairly accurate terms is the MAXIMUM time the glow plugs are powered on a working system on a really cold engine.
THANKS!
I am looking for the TM for the Futronic 225-01 Automotive Military Low Voltage Circuit Test Set 4910-092-9136, I have looked at TMs 9-4910-448-10, 9-4910-489-10 or 9-4910-509-10 and these are not correct for this device.
Just for the heck of it I sent in for a quote on a couple of heater duct hoses with one of the government suppliers, I found these two hoses for a total of $13.23 at HPG,
And they were quoting SURPLUS hoses, no wonder our taxes are so high!
In reference to mil-spec bolts, is the fastener length (AASB) the same as the civilian spec, as to say not including the head? this is not in reference to flat head bolts where in the civilian world this would include the head.
I am installing an Air Lift bumper and an extended pintle mount, the issue is this M998 had the upgraded towing hitch so the cast part shown as #22 was actually part of the upgraded cross piece which of course I am removing, so I have to source one.
Looking around I see two part numbers...
Speaking of holidays I wonder if AMG is going to have another free shipping December?
Inventory Assessment & Holiday Schedule
Due to an upcoming inventory assessment, GovPlanet will be temporarily pausing all shipments, pick-ups and load outs of purchased items from ALL GovPlanet sites and...
If I understand correctly ( I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong) that there were non ECV turbo trucks, as to say without the extended nose.
If so can someone give me the UOC code for that truck? it would be helpful when researching what components I might need for the up coming M998...
I see two different part numbers for the starter brace (ANGLE) are they interchangeable and if so which is preferred.
I will be mounting an early M998 starter on a late GEP turbo if any of that matters.
THANKS!!
So I am just wandering around and found this engine for sale on GP, what is odd is it has a tap for manifold pressure with a tube going somewhere and appears to have 8 EGT thermocouples, one for each cylinder.
Any clue what application this was used in?
For you guys running EGT gauges on the 6.5L turbos, where is your pyrometer located ??
Usually between the rear two cylinders in the exhaust manifold is considered best.
And what kind of temps are you running??
Thanks
