RE: Hi all, I
Hey C'dub! Welcome to SS. You can't go wrong with a M809 or M939 series truck. The 809 and 939 series SS members are a special breed. Many of us limp from dismounting and rotating big tires. Ours ears perk up when we hear a NHC250 or 8.3 CTA. Our hearts sink when the...
Good news. The PCB worked again this afternoon and I made the little boy's Birthday party. He said it was the best party ever. Even better than the blow-up Jupiter Jump. It's fun to make folks happy with your big green iron. Thanks again gang for helping me get on the road.
I hope to...
Well fellas, I went out at lunch and wacked on the PCB with the BFH ;) After a severe beating (not really) and much clicking from On to Off, the gauges finally kicked on! I switch the SRS switch to Run and the CTIS and ABS lights lit up. I flipped it to Start and the ol' 8.3 clattered to...

Troubling as it may be, I will not be making the three-peat trip to Haspin this year. I was considering flying in, but then my wife just reminded me that it is the same weekend as the Virginia Optometric Convention, which I have already agreed to attend. Hmmm, a weekend with a...
Thanks everyone for your efforts and tips! It was dark when I got home last night so I didn't get to check anything out. I will work on it tonight. I'll check the grounds first to make sure nothing vibrated loose coming down I-95, since it is such a smooth road ;) If that doesn't help, then...
Great pic Renato! So is the body on your IFA a stock body or did you build it specifically for your IFA Tours business? It's great to have some more international members on the site. I am grateful that you speak english because I can't speak a bit of german.
There was a guy name Nico...
Great pics MadDawg and everyone! You guys caught some stuff that I didn't even get to see. Too much walking on blazing black-top. I don't like to get too far from the cooler ;)
The NSN is 6110014442546 PN is 12450333. I have flipped the heck out of it back and forth a hundred times and still nothing. The numbers came out of TM 9-2320-272-24P-1.
I too think it is a great idea, but my wife is supposed to be delivering our first child on September 1st, so I think I better sit this one out. It's not very far from me so I might be able to pop in for a day in my civi truck just to hang out with you guys for a little bit.
I am going to...
Hey all,
I had a starting problem a couple of times at the Aberdeen show. When I flipped the Batt switch to the on position, the gauges would kick on like always. Then, when I flipped the Stop-Run-Start switch to the Run position it would sometimes turn on the CTIS/ABS and sometimes not...
OK gang, here we go again. Some folks are for GL posts, some are against and some just don't give a dang. Everyone has said their piece so I'm locking it up.
Sure, if there is enough interest. Or, you could just snag the sleeves off of one of these ;) Seriously though, I will be expanding the line of apparel and add some other goodies like stickers, cozies, magnets, etc...
RE: Information
Hi Renato. Welcome to SS. I just checked out some of the photos in the IFA gallery. They are a very impressive truck. The 's' is missing on the link in your signature by the way. Here's a link to the site: http://www.ifa-tours.de
If you're thinking its "about time," then you're right and they are finally here! Steel Soldiers official tees have been released! 100% cotton tees in M, L, XL and XXL sizes bearing the Steel Soldiers name and "Established" date on the front. They are in basic black, which is great from...
Good tech info Will. You can also remove the plug in the top of the AFC housing and adjust the top of the star wheel inside the housing toward the engine. This will loosen the tension on the AFC spring and allow more fueling at lower boost pressures.
Boy, that was a beaut of a 813! Good thing you have that HEMTT or you would be really truck-sick! ;) I think those 16.00 tires would tough on my 923 too. Hmmm. Dang tire envy!
