I plan on turning up the fuel on it now that I have the truck done. With the body done it will give me the time to tinker with the mechanicals.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a quick resto job being that I started 10/14/05 and finished 12/2/05. Towards the end it started to feel like a bad episode of American Choppers or American Hotrod, were the deadline is closing in fast and parts haven't shown up yet. :? I...
Yesturday I finished up the last of the pieces needed to complete the restoration of my 67' M35a2 that I bought this fall. I'm just getting ready to head out the door to head to a Christmas parade with it and my 67' M715. My big goals were to have the truck finished for the parades, and I just...
My 67' Kaiser has one piece headlight doors that appear to be original. When I took it apart you could see were the layers on repaints met on the fenders. And it went all the way back to a repaint with OD #24087 from the late 60's early 70's before 4 color camo was applied. But like any of...
Depends on how rusted the bolts are. All the ones along the cab came out easy, the ones on the front that have the springs on them didn't want to come off. So since I was replacing the fenders I just cut through the bolts with a torch. Like LTR said the rest of the pain is unbolting the rest...
Well I painted the cab and front half of the frame yesturday evening. Once it cures I start to remount the fenders and hood and things. I'll be cutting things tight for my Thanksgiving deadline but I should make it. Hopefully the new bed comes back from the sand blaster in the next few days...
That's it just rub it in. :P Mine will no longer have any left in a few days. New fenders, bed, and the rust repair I just did should take carre of all of it.
Started to pull off the front sheet metal to get it ready for paint.
Rust repair patches welded in under the door on both side.
Tomorrows project will be to grind down the welds and prep the areas for primer.
While removing the front fender I found that some dumba$$ welded the fender to the...
Yep, I have even caught a few stand at attention salutes from older vets as I pass them. It makes you feel good that they still have a love of these big boys. either that or they are thinking thank god my back isn't riding around in one of those things anymore.
Nope I don't believe he had any other deuce parts there. He was mainly into Dodges, both WC & M series. He was a super nice guy and must of had 20 military vehicles at the barn. And from the sounds of things he must have another large group of vehicles at his house also. I found the bed and...
Tuesday 10/25 I went across state here in Michigan to pick up the new bed for my M35 to replace the current one that is beat to hell and back. The PO use to haul logs with my truck and beat the bed hard. So I found a decent replacement bed with troop seats for $200 here in Michigan.
The wood...
Well I got the back half of the frame and the dump lift painted today. I sand blasted off the heavy flakes and scale then primed and painted it all 24087 OD green. I pick up my new bed on tuesday and hope to get that cleaned up and painted within the next 2 weeks so that I can get it mounted...
