I let some air in the last time I was bleeding the brakes. Once you get a big air pocket in there it compresses and your pedal pushing becomes significantly less effective. My wife's leg was getting tired. I pulled the vacuum pump set-up out of the garage and plugged it in. Positioned the...
I'm confused. In your first post you say the Temp light (which is red and traditionally means STOP) came on "for a while" and today's post implies it ran fine for two days after the Temp light incident.
I asked if the motor was even rotational because you seemed to be saying it was running...
There's already a lot going on up on my roof.
So today I used an old Ram-Mount I had around to mount a small sized clipboard to the center console for note taking. Then I finished wiring the inverter. I cut the connecting strip on the 24v bus bar so the first two posts are still...
Here's a few more pics of the 2 meter radio install:
The antenna in the picture is a temp one- I have a Larsen 2 meter antenna with the spring waiting to go on as soon as I can find someone to tune it for me. It’s mounted on an 18” aluminum mast extension which is sitting on the standard...

After too long with the siren controller attached to the side, and the lighting control panel on the back of my Chevy center console, and now that the Orion radio is installed, I needed to get the cop center console installed. That would also get the wiring cleaned up as well (and there's a lot...
I had a Ranger pickup that did this off and on. Some days it would start just fine, others, it acted like the battery was dead. Take it in for a test and it's fine again. Turns out the battery had a loose plate that would short out the battery internally- sharp turn or bump in the road would...
I'm far from an expert on these trucks, but I would try either pushing fuel from the tank or pulling with a vacuum pump. I don't think the short throw of the mechanical fuel pump can pull fuel through completely drained lines.
Fiddled around a little with my M1009.
Does anyone know what this is for? Should it be hanging loose like it is? I looked through the manuals but I don't see mention of it.
