I experienced the dreaded No-Start this morning. It was probably about 48⁰, I cranked it a dozen times or so before it begrudgingly fired off. I took it to work anyway though, belts squealing with the alternators loaded down trying to recharge the batteries….
So anyway, I got home and...
I asked my wife how she'd feel if I traded the M1009 for a boat; she said she wouldn't be happy. She loves when we're out in the mountains crashing through the brush and not worried one whit about scratching the paint or getting high-centered.
One thing she's been asking for is a grab handle...
You can have a leak at the filter body that may not result in fuel escaping, but air entering. I had this same problem if I parked the truck nose-up. Parking level or nose down would cause fuel to seep, but it started just fine because that didn't allow air to enter. If I parked nose-up for...
I haven't had any trouble here in Washington with two vehicles. On my M1009 I have two 100 watt outputs connected to two speakers, one on the lightbar and one on the grille. My Jeep WK has two 100 watt outputs to two speakers, both on the push bar.
Pretty cool setup. I wonder if you could just weld that thing on and leave it there. Or maybe weld on some sort of bracket to make the tightening easier...

I made some interesting discoveries while tracking down snow chains for my M1009.
The costco ones suck. They use a big rubber band to tension the chains on the wheel. That big rubber band requires feats of superhuman strength to install. The chains listed for 31x10.5-15 barely fit, making...
I don't *think* the mounting plate provides a ground if that's what you're wondering. I know the relay is grounded through the wire because there's a similar relay that grounds through its mount- the one Doghead listed does not.
Of course, it should be pretty easy to check your connections...
This is the easiest way to power your lights. There are other ways to wire it, but this uses the least number of wires, relays, cutting into other wires, etc. NOTE that the switch in this configuration will always be hot. This means that even if the truck isn’t running the lights will come on...
