I am trying to get in contact with the Haspin folks. No luck with email, will try and call this week. The fee that we pay to get in the park will cover all the off-roading you can handle and on-site camping. They have bathroom and shower facilities there too. We'd be smellin a might bit...
We traded even. My box wasn't in the best of shape. Had rust in the bottoms. Big dings and dents all over, hole in the roof which ruined all the ceiling tiles, etc... Basically, it needed a lot of rehab. I had it up for sale for a while and had no bites so I figured a trade was a good idea...
Well, it about killed me and the Mrs. but we made it to NYC and back in one day for the big Mog bed swap. I hauled my 3000lb box on a 16' trailer right down into Queens, NY. You should have seen the looks on all their faces. We met the guy with the flat bed at his lumber yard. He was a real...
Hey Chris, thanks for the offer for the bed. If the one in NY doesn't pan out I may be calling you. I haven't had it off-road yet. Hopefully I'll get the chance real soon if the weather will clean up a little bit. I am tire of the rain/snain/snow that we always get in March. Gotta go home...
Hmmmm, a Mog tractor, that would be a cool variant! I found a cargo body for it. I am hauling the box to NY this weekend and making an even swap for a nice, clean cargo bed. That knuckle-boom is awesome! I plan on having a Mog 416 one day with a HIAB k-boom and short bed. I see them come up...
Thanks guys. Da_sgt, I haven't had it on the road since the diet, but I am sure it is a lot more nimble than before. I'll probably gain a gear on the hills and increase my top speed by 5mph or so. The cargo bed that goes back on it only weighs about 1400 lbs so that should give it enough...
Here's a few more pics of the aftermath [:)] The last one is of the two hooks that hold the spare tire to the body. With all that German engineering, you would think they would at least have a deuce-like hoist to raise the tire up
Cranetruck aka Bjorn paid a visit to my house this week with his crane truck deuce. I had stripped the radio box down to the bare bones earlier in the week so when he arrived I just removed the 9 mounting bolts and the mighty HIAB knuckle-boom did the hard work. Thanks to Bjorn and his...
Hey Mogman,
Haven't seen any mention of axle ratio changes on the forum in all my years. As far as I know there have always been 6.72 gears in the deuce axles. There may be some aftermarket stuff cropping up since the axles have become so popular with off-roaders.

Now to your starting problem. There are MANY different possibilities here. If you have to give it glow when the engine is hot, it may...
Hey Bjorn, we'll make it work. I'll try and block out some time from 9-2 or so. I'm not sure what my patient schedule is for tues. My Dad should be available. We'll take any 756 stuff you can get you hands on even a 5-ton winch if there are any. I'll PM you our phone numbers. Thanks.

I had the exact same problem with my M1009 Blazer. The shift fork selector was worn out. The forks have a small plastic pad on the tips that rides in a groove in...
