I appreciate the input folks. The switch to a new host and forum software is not an easy process. It can be very time consuming. We may lose a lot of important posts. We may lose members. I'll do some checking. We may be able to make the switch later this year, but I just don't have the...
Look, if someone wants to pony up the dough to switch steelsoldiers to a site host who has a server who supports PHP boards and pony up the cash to buy some PHP forum software I am by all means accepting donations. I looked long and hard at forum software before puchasing this one. None of the...
Sweet buddy! We need chit-chat sometime about me "borrowing" your parts to make replicas or find suitable civilian counterparts. The biggest thing we need is the trunion and trunion sheave.
Holy crap, Kenny, do you have all those parts in your possession? If me and my dad can't find originals to buy I may have to borrow some of those to make copies for my Dad. That's a great score for you if that stuff came in your truck when you bought it!!
No, not wet t-shirt contest ya weirdos, it's going to be all guys there
Seriously, we are having a contest to see who can come up with the most original and awesome looking design for the Steel Soldiers Haspin Rally. The winning design will be put on a t-shirt in the Cafe Press...
Hey Mouse, you betcha. We would welcome an Steel Soldiers Forum member no matter how long they have been around. You don't even need to bring a military vehicle if you can make arrangements with someone to ride along. The more the merrier[^]

The 12v diesel fuel pump I mounted on my frame rail of my CUCV flows thru just fine. The reason I know this is because when I switched my CUCV to Caddy 500 power I used the mechanical pump on the Caddy which had to pump gas...
Ha! Thanks DR. Yep, you went from bed to box and I went from box to bed. I think my radio box would have looked good on the back of your deuce [:)] Actually, it would work good for one of those Spruce Mtn trucks with the back axle and frame chopped off.
Do you like my ghetto plastic...
BWAHAHAHA!!!
You could use any old 12v pump if you know the output pressure of the old one. Just set your regulator after your 12v pump to match the 24v. My [2cents]
I spoke with Pete, the owner of Haspin Acres, on the phone today. I told him what we are planning. He said the weekend of July 16th should be no problem. He said we would have a discount rate of $13 a day. A day runs from 7am on day one to 9am on day 2. He said we would have no problem...
I only have the two in the post above. I can email Lou and see if he has any more. It is going to be a sweet Mog when he gets done. He welded up a water tank out of stainless and put on an extra air tank. He is getting ready for body work on the cab and now thew box. He will be painting the...
Thanks Chris. I am glad this one has the plywood floor instead of the planks. I am going to buy a couple sheets of exterior grade plywood and borrow my Dad's router for a weekend, when it finally warms up a little. It has a few little rust holes here and there, but nothing a wire-feed welder...

Lou's 416 Mog
I'll get some pics of the bed here at the house this weekend. I am going to hose the salt off of everything and get started mocking up the mounts.
