Yes, they can be found. They are usually about twice the price for the filter. The after market filters have a drain. I am sure you could cobble some kind of drain valve which could work on those too.

No aftermarket fuel/water separator has the correct size hole for the military drain. You could buy the true correct military filter.

The gaskets which you need are actually the easiest to find and get.
auction site has a 5 pack of the exhaust manifold gaskets, and the valve cover gaskets are easy too. The exhaust muffler one it kinda tough. There was a few on the auction site too.

Another forum? Blackstone test? If a engine was properly built, and you use break-in oil, you will have break-in wear items in your oil. That is the exact purpose of break-in oil. It is different than standard oil in that it is also non-detergent oil.
