Not to derail the post, but I have a unit that I have almost given up on that spits chunks at 50% and will slowly chug & die at 100%. I never let it go for an extended period, only like 20 minuets. Almost 5,000hrs but otherwise looks healthy. Should I just send it at 50-60% for an hour and see...
Before you go to sleep, run it hard for 20 minuets. When you wake up, run it hard again for 20 minuets. Turning the dryer on will do the trick. I used to do something similar with my MEP-802 at my off grid place when running for days at a time. Load it up with the heater for a bit. 23hrs out of...
When I used solar chargers of any type on these units, I installed an "off" switch to them because they will drain power checking the batteries in some form. This is not all of your problem, but some.
Sounds like a bad alternator from here, or belt not tight & it's not turning it enough. The...
I'd have fluids in it & crank it up already. But I can't help myself when stuff shows up. Can usually figure out if it's parts or a project right away. :p
I know, that is why I was saying we have no way to change up have the DCS what to direct the VR what to do. All internal to the DCS. You'd need to flash it in some way.
I did go back & tried what I suggested above with no change in results. Spent a bit more time with it & somehow, I overlooked the fact that the plastic part of the TCM itself had been removed. My bet, is this truck had an issue & it's why it was sent away to DRMO. Even though it is a 4spd, it's...
Just replace the gasket again. You may have missed something cleaning off a surface. Not worth slapping sealant on it with all the work you did. The housing is soft aluminum as well. May have got nicked. Might have a spare housing around if needed.
The generator head part number is the same on here as the the MEP 1040. Since I need a head for my MEP 1040, this is great to know. It also means that these can indeed be used in single phase. But, only to about 11,000 watts before heat causes an issue. Unless that issues is due to the voltage...
I just got a whole bunch of desktop CAU's with headsets for TOCNET in working order & stumbled on this thread. Uses an BNC to interface with the system.
I'm not buying two batteries to test a truck I'm just thinking about getting. If I already owned it, good batteries would have been in it before doing anything as is generally the first thing I do with equipment.
After thinking about this for some time, I'm willing to guess what the issue is & I'm going to go back next week if I can to see.
So, like most surplus stuff, batteries are no good in there. A large jumper pack is being used. That said, its a 24v pack. This means, there is not a good 12v power...
I'm in Texas where most roads & highways are 75mph. I have a 3spd & it will push 70mph, but it is way up there in RPM & will such diesel down running like that when I want to go for a rip. The 3spd is going to stay at the Roads End Ranch & want a 4spd for all the radio goodies. Once the truck is...
Everyone,
I spent a few hours searching here & read a few threads. I also have the WO troubleshooting guide .PDF & did find what covers part of the issue but still wanted to share as there's something odd.
Been looking at a M1097R1 that has a 4spd (4l80E?) in it. When you put power to...
I have an M1097R1 that is in the same boat, but had almost all the DWF parts removed. The only hint I had that mine was one at one point, was the hols punched in it for water draining & patched, selector valve hole patched, the hard vent lines to the rear left in place but cut, and the only part...
