Great looking addition. I was in transportation units so our markings were slightly different my wife put my first unit's numbers on it for me from Korea. 2nd infantry division 702 main support battalion bravo company 2nd platoon truck 42 (I kept the 42 from the markings originally on the...
About how much does all that cost? I'm not sure if that's something i want to do eventually or not but I'd feel more confident in an allison shop doing it. Where in CT? I'm in RI.
Thank you all for your replies. After further looking I think the wvo I have is still good but like you said it's too cold to run it right now so I'll check it again in the late spring.
Sorry I was typing my last response and didn't see your question. It is wvo that someone had previously filtered but they sold their diesel and I picked up their last barrel. The drum was air and water tight but had sat for 2 years.
Thanks I appreciate the info, I'll look further into the bio I run in the summer. I had no issues with clogging filters but if refining wvo removes the acidic properties then I'm liable to clog now. If not then I SHOULD be already cleaned out. If I do run some I'll wait until I'm prepared...
I ran B99 a lot in the summer (I can get it from a reputable regulated station cheap NOT homemade) is bio less acidic than wvo? (That's an honest question, I'm not afraid to run small mixes of alt fuels but I'm no expert)
I recently picked up a blue plastic 55 gallon drum of wvo that's been air tight but has sat for 2 years. It's clear and golden.
When I first opened the drum I noticed a paint thinner type smell (the guy mentioned he had dumped in some fuel stabilizers so don't know if that caused the smell)...
I've had no problem with blown lights and the gauge had been fine the whole 6k miles I've put on the truck since March so I don't think it's a 12v gauge.
No unfortunately my multimeter crapped out I need a new one. Would that make gauge jump as soon as the battery switch was flipped? I assumed since the engine wasn't running/alt wasn't spinning it was only reading the batteries. I did unhook 1 battery and gauge went to yellow, hook up second...
Lately my voltmeter has been pegged far right. It jumps to far right when battery switch is turned on. Before it would occasionally jump far right every once an awhile now its there all the time. Truck runs fine, all other electrical seems fine. I'm on a 2 battery system now because one...
I drove line hail 2 1/2 years in the 101st. M915s will get stuck easily on wet grass, never mind mud. The ride bobtail will definitely bruise your kidneys. If offroad is more important I'd consider a m931, they are harder to get stuck and can do 60-65. Otherwise I'd look more at a m916/m920.
My wife is pretty good at using spray paint and wanted to do something nice for me and she spray painted my first units bumper numbers on my M923A2.
B co 702nd MSB 2nd infantry division. The font isn't a 100% match and the colors are slightly off but I love it and it looks 1000% better than...
Thanks everyone. Looks like I toasted a battery, oddly enough it was the one initially showing the most voltage. Also due to a small other issue I'm pretty sure that one was at least partially shot before this incident but the truck was able to start despite it. Bought a decent manual...
Well a small update. Bought a battery charger pulled 2 of the batteries out so far and hooked them to the charger (one at a time). Looks like 1 of the batteries is dead dead. The one showing 3.8v it charges up t to about 6ish then charger shows a fault in the battery. Other one is showing...
Thanks I will definitely look into doing that, I'm hoping I can save at least a couple of them. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and grab a charger and probably a battery or 2 to get me back on the road immediately.
