I think the wiring harness is cut. I did not check it out yet. I hope to go over it sometime this week and I will post some pictures. Is the 2 peice crank seal a design change. Is it replaced similar to a 4.0L jeep engine or does the crank need to be removed.
I picked it up in MD. So far the rear main seal is leaking badly, fan clutch module is MIA, front lights inop, wipers inop, and glow plugs are on a toggle switch and momentary switch.
She's going to be a project for sure. Do you know the truck?
I found it from a private individual. 4 doors seem more useful for me. A pickup with a cargo cover would be kinda ok I guess, but a family of 3 will dictate the 4 door.

Air assist is a nice addition. It was the first thing I did to my truck. I would do it again. Easy to install and everything appears as it should. I'm am installing a 18" steering wheel to allow a quicker turn to lock. I can steer my truck with one hand.

I also got to meet a few members. The show was great. I was able to pick up a good many things I needed mostly from jatonka who was nice enough to bring everything to the show for me. Great guy to deal with.
Now if we could get a break in this weather so I could install some things.
I have used a jack on the center section of axles for over 15 years now. Granted the heaviest truck that I see coming through the shop is a 1 ton diesel. I have never seen or heard of any damage to a differential housing. I say follow the TMs accordingly,but do not badger another member unless...
